What a gift. I put a 50$ in it and my son in law spent hours on it. Till a huge hint was given. Then he got it. Totally worth it and worked flawlessly. Their frustration is there gift to you. Priceless

I was very happy with the quality of this puzzle given the price. A gift card from off the rack at a grocery or drug store fits well (as opposed to one you may buy directly at a store that folds into an envelope, that may be tight but still work). It’s a great way to make something that may feel a little less personal like money or a gift card a bit more special or creative. We gifted it to a 13-year-old and he and my daughter, who is great at puzzles and the same age, spent about 30 minutes trying to get it open until they waived the white flag and scanned the item on Google for a hint. Regarding a reviewer who said it didn’t come with directions on how to solve the puzzle—if it comes with the instructions for how to get the gift inside, which mine did, that’s how you solve it. It doesn’t open any other way. It simply locks into place after you put the gift inside, and to get it out, you repeat the same steps. Highly recommend!

My grandkids are really, really smart, and they tend to like escape rooms, etc. so when I send them some cash for Christmas, I like to give them a bit of a challenge. The box itself was very nice, but they all found the 'secret' way too quickly.

Have three kids in their 20s. Decided to give them money for Christmas using puzzle boxes. This particular one looked like it would be the easiest to solve out of the three, but it actually took the longest! I’m guessing 45 minutes or so. Maybe save this one for someone who doesn’t get frustrated easily. :-)
