The Hiby FD5 comes with a small power adapter (12VDC, 2A), it looks and feels cheap. The Hiby gets very warm with the supplied adapter, almost too hot. With the BTF power adapter, the Hiby runs much cooler and the BTF adapter gets just a bit warm, the sound of the Hiby FD5 is unaffected. The BTF provides clean power, no humming or any audible noise, I'd recommend it for desktop DAC/audio amplifiers. Cheers!

Didn't last more than 3 days. I bought it about 2 months before I installed it, so I can't return it. I installed this power supply with 12v BTF lighs, with a total calcation of 4 amps, 20% under capacity and it died after 3 days of use. Probably 4 hours of total use. Picture shows 5v out when it's rated for 12v.

Fairly lightweight when it came which is usually a sign that there isn't much heat dissipation happening on the inside. Connected to a 60W (12V/5A) device snuggly and powered up beautifully.Unfortunately after over an hour of use at the full 60W, the power supply was extremely hot then the unit tripped. So just a reminder, if your device you're trying to power says 12V 4A, get the 12V 5A; if it says 12V 5A, buy the supply rated at 12V 6A. I'll have to return this one and snag the 12V 6A adapter now having read the first bullet point on the product's description.Side note: it's not a UL listed product so keep that in mind if you're using it professionally as an installer.
