The spiked roller worked well making the surface smooth for level quick but you need a squeegee to make the surface level. It is helpful the put screws in to mark the level. There are several YouTube video to help with putting in marking screws.

Was easy to use to spread out and break the surface tension of the self-leveling compound I installed in my bathroom. Felt like the roller really made the process simple.

This roller was invaluable for agitating self leveling compound to get rid of bubbles. I drove screws to indicate the desired height, then poured the self leveler and used this roller to push it around to the top of the screws. I missed a spot early on, and that had bubbles that popped, requiring patching. The places where I was better about using the roller were smooth as glass.Go slowly, it can splatter a bit.The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is, as others have pointed out, the handle isn't threaded. My solution was to insert a length of 3/4" PVC pipe, then use screws to attach it to them handle. It worked great. If you're planning to use self leveler, I wouldn't pour it without this roller! Best of luck!

I was pouring thinset and needed something to help even everything out but yet keep it on the thinner side. This worked amazing for that use. Not sure what else it can be used for, but it was well worth the money for me.

Spiked roller is a must have when smoothing leveling compound (lc). Lc working time is 10-15 min. It finds unmixed clumps and helps smooth out edges to eliminate need to grind. Great for small areas. Ideally the handle would be threaded to screw on a paint stick. Banging the handle on the stick on the floor worked fine.

These are things I wanted to know before buying:Does it move the material around? Not at all.Does it get clogged up with material? Not at allDoes it throw material all over the place? Very littleDo I need it? Jury is still outI used a 1/8 inch v-notch trial to help me spread material and move it around so it was semi-level, I think that was a big help. There is no threads for an extension pole, others have suggested using a screw and a wooden handleI used this with Mapei's ultra plan easy leveler, others may behave differently

Works pretty great but I’ll recommend to use with a bucket of water, makes it way easier
