I was looking for a solid line nipper that cuts heavier mono and braid as well without breaking and these are definitely much sturdier than the competition. Only downfall is the tether is clipped to the locking mechanism and will lock while trying to clip occasionally. Overall they are worth the extra $10 as they are much better built than the other line clippers, because they are solid metal and not plastic and metal.

This is easily my favorite piece of fishing gear. It’s very well made and it cuts CLEAN through any size braid, mono, or floro effortlessly in one snip. I’ve not tried it, but I’d be willing to bet it would even cut clean through a steel leader. I find myself changing baits more often just to use it lol. Perfect for a backpack/pond hopper bag. Plain and simple, it’s quick, easy and super cool. Probably a great stocking stuffer idea.

These are the best nippers you can buy for fishing. TIP always keep them tethered! I lost one pair in the water and another pair to a very handsy friend.
