I wish this wasn’t my first stocking kit. It’s beautiful but it has soooo much beading and the metallic thread is the biggest pain to work with. I finally bought a spool of silver thread that is a lot more flexible and forgiving. I wish I had started with a simpler pattern because this frustrated me so much I stopped for about 3 months. Now I’m just getting back around to finishing it so my daughter won’t use it until next Christmas.Now knowing what I know and looking at other designs I’d say don’t pick this pattern if you haven’t done other Bucilla stockings. If your plan is to make multiples, pick a simpler design to start and get used to the stitches and reading the patterns and work up to this kit. It’s beautiful but it’s slow going and a lot of tedious work.For me the pattern has lined up just fine and the material quality has been fine… other than that metallic thread, that stuff is garbage and I with it constantly until I replaced it :(
