I would highly recommend the kit!! It is a beautiful stocking with easy instructions. I had a lot of fun doing this while watching TV and listening to music. The only issues I had with the kit were problems that I created. I had to re-do some stitches that I messed up. I also should have read the instructions more carefully. If you take the time to prepare and educate yourself on these kits, you will do just fine!To shorten the learning curve, I highly recommend reading some websites with hints on how to complete the kits. This isn't absolutely necessary but it will allow you to learn from other people's mistakes. I'm glad I did because I think my finished product will hold up better through the years. For instance, I used two pieces of thread rather than one to sequin/bead and I doubled the stitch to ensure it was securely fastened. By double stitch, I mean I sewed the sequin/bead on the stocking and then I re-threaded the same sequin/bead to fasten it down twice. This will hopefully keep the sequins/beads on the stocking for decades and last through the normal wear and tear. When I stitched the name at the top of stocking, I used all 6 strands because I felt like the name looked thin otherwise. Since I used more strands than recommended in the instructions, I used up the threads faster. I had read on multiple websites that this would happen so I purchased extra thread on amazon. I could have purchased through Bucilla but I was able to find thread on amazon that matched the colors just fine.As I worked on the stocking, I started getting the hang of it. It truly is a simple process -- you just need to read the instructions and take your time!! Rushing will make you mess up, trust me. There were small aspects of the stocking that I did not like so I purchased extra felt to make some small substitutions. This is a personal preference and is absolutely not necessary!!! The stocking is beautiful as is. I just wanted to tweak it.If you are going to make a stocking, ensure that you leave yourself enough time to complete. These kits look deceptively easy and actually require a lot of time. I didn't work on the stocking non-stop but it took me about a month and a half. It takes time to lightly iron the pieces (they have a few wrinkles being folded in the packaging), reading the instructions, cutting out the pieces, securing them on and, in my opinion the most lengthy process, the sequin/beading. Although I underestimated the time to do it, I really enjoyed making this stocking. I plan to make a stocking for each of my nieces and nephews. In the future, I will continue to purchase extra thread, stuffing, felt, and I will start the kits much, much earlier so I'm not scrambling to finish before Christmas.

I love this brand of stocking kit! It's very simple to follow and they turn out so cute! My grandma used to make them, they last a long time and hold up very well (I've had the one she made me at least 25 years!) This is my third kit that I've bought and I'll definitely purchase more. I tried a different brand and was very unhappy with it. The felt was thinner and you had to use a paper pattern to cut the felt. With this brand, the felt is stamped and all you have to do is cut out the pieces.

Loved making this for our latest addition to the family. I’m not artsy or crafty at all and there are a lot of pieces but if you follow the directions it’s easy and comes out great. I did practice the name before I did it on the actual stocking.

Beautiful stocking. This was a very good price. This project is not for the faint of heart. I would not recommend for a beginner. Instructions are not easy to always follow and they very segmented. Take your time and don't be in a hurry. This project is time consuming. But as I stated, a beautiful stocking. Makes for a nice gift.

I love these kits. This was the first one I did myself, and it really had almost everything you need to make the stocking. The only thing that I needed to supply was some polyester stuffing, and some blush for their cheeks (from my personal makeup stash). Came out great!!If you're new to embroidery and you're struggling with any of the steps or techniques, there is a woman on YouTube who does very good Bucilla tutorial videos. I mean, very good. She was a great help to me as I had no clue how to do things like the french knot until I saw it in a video.

This is another beautiful stocking, but thankfully not my first one. The instructions are minimal and difficult to follow.

These stockings are not hard to assemble but it does take some time to do it. So if you want to make this you need to plan to spend some serious time working on it. I haven't timed the last one I did but it takes hours. I am happy with it because these turn out gorgeous.

The instructions were easy to follow but it took a lot longer to complete than I’d realised. When it was finished it did look lovely and hopefully will last my granddaughter a lifetime. If I have any more grandchildren I’ll definitely make stocking for them but start 3 months before I need it!

Todo viene perfectamente detallado y con todas las pautas perfectamente definidas. Ahora toca ponerse manos a la obra, pero tanto la calidad de los materiales como las indicaciones a seguir son ideales. 100% recomendable.

I loved making up this stocking as it keeps the brain going. I have put it away for a Christmas present for one of the Grandchildren.

La calidad ha bajado mucho, los hilos y las agujas, muy chino.
