No trick pieces, good quality, all pieces were there. I was worried about that because I read a few reviews saying pieces were missing. There was one side piece that had an odd shape and I didn't come across it until about 80% through the puzzle. The box came glued to the bottom, like one line of glue all the way around. Pieces were not in a bag so there was puzzle dust inside. I ordered two, same company, and both were sealed the same. (I saw someone mention no bag.)As far as quality, I have a few a bit better and I also have much worse. This is very good quality and I would definitely order again, especially given the price! It doesn't have so much of one color that you get bored or frustrated.Pieces seemed to be standard size for 1000 piece.

We pieced this lovely Italian scene together in a little over a week. We always begin with the borders then sort by color and also shape. The only tricky element with this puzzle was that several pieces could fit in the same spot. We often had to hold the connecting pieces up to the light to insure they were no gaps whatsoever. But that’s what puzzles are all about - the details!

This is one of the most awesome puzzles we ever made. Showing the emblematic picture of Manarola, Cinqueterre, the puzzle captures the magic and beauty of the moment. My wife and I used to dream about spending some time there while wrestling with the beautiful nuances of the sky and deep sea. There are certainly some challenges to find the right pieces for the right places (cmon, folks...this is a puzzle!). We had to re-do some areas several times and the trick was to come from the opposite side building each layer until we found the correct sequence. The quality of the pieces was excellent and if you place them carefully they will not peel off. I've found Buffalo Games & Puzzles' customer services very professional and attentive when in a previously assembled puzzle the poster was missing. One phone call and they sent me the poster in a split second. Congrats for a job very well done. We are currently working in the Sleepy Town West puzzle from Charles Wysocky and the next one is already reserved...so much fun. And back to Cinqueterre, we decided to go and take a picture exactly from the same angle!

I really did love this puzzle, but found some features unnecessarily frustrating. At the end I was missing two pieces, which I assume were knocked off the table and lost, but I also had an extra piece that (while colored similarly to the colors in the puzzle) did not fit in either of the holes. This makes me less sure that I lost the two missing pieces. Also, the cuts were such that I ended up 3 or 4 times with pieces that seemed to fit together being in the wrong place. The fit was not perfect, but pretty close and the colors/patterns seemed to match. That led to some frustration down the road when I had to back track and figure out where the error was.

My girlfriend loves challenging jigsaw puzzles and I usually give her one each year as a stocking stuffer gift. This Cinque Terre puzzle was perfect because we visited this beautiful Italian area a couple of years ago.This is a very challenging puzzle because many of the pieces are the same shape and size. More than once she had to exchange one piece for another.

We really enjoyed this puzzle. So colorful and so much fun. All the pieces were there. None were damaged. the pieces were also pretty thick and the printing was lovely. The included photo of the puzzle was essential for the completion. The only reason we didn't give it a full 5 stars is because it wasn't a 100% interlocking puzzle and it was often difficult to determine if we have a piece that fit - even if the design seemed to suggest it would. We found that if we turned two pieces over, we could tell by looking at the way they fit together if they really were a match. We would love to buy more of these. Buffalo appears to be a good puzzle maker - much better than some of the other puzzles being sold on Amazon - even though the others are interlocking, they are not as good quality in terms of the print, the finish, lacking a separate image to use and made from very thin pieces (which probably explains the lack of depth for the image.) Buy this puzzle and enjoy it. Don't let the complications of fitting together pieces be a barrier (just look at the backs for a match). Buffalo puzzles are excellent. Uses recycled paper. Offers missing pieces service. And made in the USA.

I bought this puzzle after the last two puzzles I worked on were missing pieces for one reason or another. The first thing I do not like about this one is that certain pieces seem to fit in multiple locations in the areas of broad color. This isn't just one piece, but a set of three, that fit in more than one spot really well. That's frustrating and really weird, as I had to take out pieces and just try them in other spots until it worked. Secondly, the puzzle is missing twelve pieces! How can this be? My girlfriend and I worked on this for many hours without the satisfaction of having something to feel proud of at the end.

Firstly, this was a very relaxing puzzle to complete - not too hard, not too easy. Steady progress made it a nice pastime. Sadly there was a piece missing upon completion. I purchased this one given the promise of missing piece support... but actually they will not send you a missing piece. You might be able to get a replacement puzzle but I don't expect this will work for those living outside the US and the puzzles they are offering does not include this one. Google Buffalo missing piece support for more info. So this ended up being a bit disappointing.
