Nice; Affordable, adaptable, and understandable. An extremely fair price for quality drives, with an excellent cabinet. Both the redundancy and security options are first rate! The instructions were quite easy to comprehend. The speed is as fast as my network, CAD 5. No negative's with this product.

3rd Buffalo unit that I back my sports photography business up in. Never falls me, fast transfer, easy connection, quick retrieval. Highly recommend.

I have had this unit now for 2 months and it is the most unreliable network device I have ever had the unlucky experience to own. Since I have had it, it has dropped off my network about once a week. I have it hard cabled to my router. I have many other devices on my network both wireless and wired and none have been as unreliable as this. It was so bad at some point that even a power restart didn't work. With support's advice, I reset it. That meant losing all my data and all the configurations and had to completely start over like it was new. Since I have done that, it has become unresponsive every few days where I had to power it off and back on to get it back on the network. This happens so frequently that it interrupts backups and any kind of work I am doing that requires diskspace (like converting my DVD's to streaming media for my plex server). A word of advice, avoid this product like the plague otherwise you will have purchased something that causes a ton of frustration where you will ultimately lose all your data at some point to troubleshoot it.

Pretty disappointed in this device. Cannot get a transfer speed greater than 80megs per second.24 TB drive is really a 16667.5 usable Gb. Interface is wonky and a bit hard to setup.When adding users, it appears as if you're granting R/W when in fact it's opposite. Not sure if it's a translation issue or what. But the permissions are very odd. Will update when more info comes.

Setup was easy backups were over 24 hours for 1 terrabyte. Fan is noisy so plan on putting it far from bedroom.

I really like this NAS compared to my old one. I constantly have to run the buffalo app to find the appliance on my local network but, still worth the money and it responds fast. a nice purchase.
