Each of the favors in this set comes in a sealed clear plastic bag with the pieces and a directions page specific to those pieces. Neither the bag nor the directions page is labeled with what kind of animal the set makes. Sometimes you can tell from the picture, but there are ones that I cannot determine beyond some kind of fish.Each set has directions for putting it together in 3 different configurations. The directions are in picture format like the name brand sets. The pictures are a little blurry, but are discernible. The first configuration seems to use all of the provided pieces, but there are often leftover pieces in the second and third configurations.The bricks click together well and hold reasonably firmly while still not being too difficult to take apart. Some of the bricks are mirror images of each other so it can be tricky to know which to use, but I was able to get it sorted out without too much undoing.The first set I tried to put together was the pink squid looking one. The directions for the first configuration did not work and, after several tries, I gave up. Then I tried the blue fish one and the directions were fine. I was able to successfully put together each of the 3 configurations without trouble. I tried a third set (the seahorse) to see which way it would go, and was able to complete that without any problems either.
