My son loves building. These were the perfect gift for him. It keeps him busy and off his tablet. A definite win if your looking for a way to limit screen time for your children.

They are competing for their time to make their masterpieces. Even my granddaughter (who says she wants unicorns and rainbows) wants her time with it!

This building block set with an electric drill has been such a hit with my 3-year-old! He absolutely loves it and spends hours creating all sorts of fun designs. The electric drill is a great addition, and it’s just the right size for little hands to use, adding an exciting "big kid" element to the play. It’s worth noting that there are a lot of pieces, which is fantastic for creativity but also means you’ll likely lose a few over time. Despite that, I’d happily buy this again because the joy and engagement it brings are absolutely worth it.It’s a great STEM toy for encouraging imagination and hands-on problem-solving. Highly recommend for any little builders out there!

I gotta admit, I wasn't sure what to expect when I got my hands on this set. My kid had been asking for a construction toy for a while, and when I saw this 234-piece set with an electric drill, I thought, “How bad could it be?†First of all, I don’t think I’ve seen anything so mesmerizing to a kid—especially when they realize it comes with an actual drill that makes noise and spins. It’s like you can practically hear their little hearts racing with excitement. The set comes with a mix of colorful gears, wrenches, and bolts that your little one can piece together, and it’s more than just a toy; it’s like a mini engineering lesson wrapped in fun. My three-year-old is obsessed, and to be honest, I kind of am too. As an adult, I can’t say I get a lot of opportunities to play with drills or construction sets, but I had a blast seeing it all come together. The pieces are very sturdy, and I was actually impressed at how easy it was for my kid to figure out the whole building process—props to the design team for making it intuitive and easy to follow. We’ve spent hours making everything from simple shapes to ridiculously tall towers, and let me tell you, there’s something satisfying about using a real tool, even if it’s not as powerful as a full-size one. The electric drill is safe but makes the whole thing feel much more “real†than other toy sets that just sit there, waiting to be built with no excitement. It does require batteries, so don’t forget to stock up before you start. I learned that the hard way, and a dead drill halfway through a build is no fun at all, especially when a toddler is impatiently waiting for the drill to work. But when it’s up and running, the drill helps secure pieces together, and watching it whir and buzz gives kids a feeling of empowerment—plus, it totally tricks them into thinking they’re working just like the grown-ups. The only downside, though, is that the drill’s power is a bit weak for adults who might get too excited and think they can screw everything in with it. It works perfectly fine for the intended age range, but if you’re hoping to make something super sturdy for long-term use, it’s not quite the tool you’ll want for that. But then again, it’s a kid's toy, so it's not like we're building skyscrapers here. Another thing I liked is how it encourages hands-on, creative play. It’s not just about building with the parts as they come. You can experiment with different designs, try to build gears that actually spin, or just let the imagination run wild. There's a lot of room for growth as they start to grasp more complicated concepts like structure and balance. I can see my child getting years of fun from this. It’s not a toy that’ll be tossed to the side after a couple of weeks; it’s one that evolves with them, especially when they start to build more complicated structures. The only other small gripe I have is that the pieces can sometimes be a little tricky to snap together, especially if you’re in a rush or if your child hasn’t quite developed the fine motor skills for it yet. I had to step in a few times to help with the tougher ones, but that’s part of the fun. You get to bond with them, and let’s face it, even adults have trouble with some of the smaller parts, so it’s not a big deal. If you’re looking for a STEM toy that’s fun, educational, and keeps your kid engaged, this one is a great pick. I’m honestly surprised how much my little one loves it, and I’ve caught myself wanting to join in the building fun more than once. So, if you’re ready to make some noise with your tiny builder, grab this set—just don’t forget the extra batteries!

I ordered this set as a fun activity to do with my 9 year old daughter. She enjoys STEM activities and this looked like a fun one. This kit comes with many gears in different sizes and shapes. It also comes with other pieces you can use for building. There are kid friendly tools you can use for connecting pieces. They are plastic but seem to be well made. You can build a lot of different things with this set. It comes with a motor to make the gears turn. It does require batteries for the motor and the screwdriver. I found this to be educational as well because kids can learn how gears work when connected. This is an amazing set for children who are interested in STEM or just like to build things.

I didn't get any instructions on how to build anything. I get being creative and designing your own thing but having ideas to go by would have been nice. Like the picture on the box I would have liked instructions on how to make that.

This "DEKILEA 234pc Building/Construction Toys" is so fun and and my son just Loves it, as do his friends, (ages 5 to 8). There are soo many different ways to challenge a child in a fun and innovative way, and as a Mother, I appreciate that very much! Its not hard to build structures as the parts are crafted very purposefully and well. To construct a more intricate structure, does involve utilizing logical skills, but, personally that was exactly the product feature I was most excited about! 😊 There are ways to play with these that dont involve alot of thinking or skills. Even my 18 month-old-son loves playing with these, connecting some of the pieces, challenging his growing baby brain in a fun & innovative way! The size of the pieces is perfet, as there are several different sized pieces to choose from. The colors are vibrant and playful. The drill actually works well for a kids toy! Overall these Building Blocks Set is such a good Value for the price!~☆Side Note~ My children really enjoy getting to role play with these, acting as if they are a youthful Architect!! 😄 These have even boosted my 5yr-old-sons self esteem, helping to show & teach him skills he did not feel he was capable to possess!! 🥰😊
