This tripod is very use specific and that's for "Bullet Time" on Insta360 360 cameras. Reviews complaining it doesn't level or extend clearly got it not knowing what it was for. It does also double as a desktop or selfie stick tripod, but that's a not it's main purpose. And if you use it as a desktop or selfie stick tripod with an Insta360 360 camera it doesn't need to extend or level, it works fine for this too.Google search "Bullet Time" and you'll see what this is, it's kinda like the shots in the Matrix where the camera moves around the person during the action scenes, and this tripod makes this easy and smooth but you ALSO have to use a selfie stick. The only gripe I have is the legs are plastic and don't feel as secure as I'd expect a $30 small tripod to feel, they're a little wobbly. But this doesn't really effect they way it works and I doubt it'll effect the longevity of the unit overall. If you're looking for a BULLET TIME adapter (that's really what this is), you'll be totally happy, if you're looking for a small portable desktop tripod you'll find better options for less (you won't need the rotating feature anyway).All-in-all I like it and it's perfect for Bullet Times! Maybe the next version will be all metal ;-)

Tripod is nice and fairly compact. It's about 7in long closed and probably a little over an inch in diameter, if you're wondering. I'm guessing it weighs 8oz., It's pretty solid in the upper portion. The bearings in the rotating assembly are super smooth. The lock collar is IMO a little finicky at times, but it hasn't been an issue. What I don't care for so much are the tripod legs, I wish they had positive locking detents both folded and unfolded. They do have some kind of detents, but boy is it weak.

I'm very glad I got this one instead of the brand name one. It's got the bullet time shot covered but also acts as a small tripod. I used only this paired with a regular selfie stick to do a whole 360 tour shoot! The quality seems fine and the lock is substantial. If I'm splitting hairs, the only thing this is missing is the ability to telescope. Then it would really be everything all in one.

I got this to attach to my DJI Osmo SE gimbal since I lost the original extension/tripod that came with it. As you can see in the pics, it does work and attaches with ease via the industry standard 1/4" screw post. The upper base of this is metal and rock solid, but the tripod legs is where they went a little cheap on this. Since I will be holding this sometimes as an extension, not just a tripod, I was hoping this would have nice thick silicone covered legs, or something like that. They are not terribly flimsy and will work, but they could have been better than they are. For instance, when holding it by the legs when they are all closed, if i squeeze my hand just a little I can feel the 3 legs move according to how and where I squeeze. This is not a deal breaker, but could be improved upon. Other than that, it does have the side 1/4" screw post as well for the extra panoramic bar that is not included, but I will not be using it for that purpose since I already have the gimbal device.

I use this as a travel tripod for capturing panoramic images with my Iphone 15 pro. The rotating head is super smooth, making it easy to get exactly what I want. It's fairly lightweight, and small enough to easily take with as we travel around. The head does lock, too, to use it as a reglular phone tripod. I did try it with a Canon R5 and 24-70L lens and that was too much- but for a phone or maybe a lighter camera it works great

This seems like a very well built bullet time stick with the tripod. The locking mechanism seems solid as well. Can't wait to use this to get some cool slo-mo footage on the GoPro!

Sure, it’s not advertised to support DSLRs, but it’s inevitable that an Action Cam and the like are going to take a firm bump, and take more weight than a DSLR or mirrorless camera, so this seems too fragile to me for the stated purpose.
