Based on another reviewers suggestion, I bought these weights instead of the other brand which charges you about $5 for an ounce. I wish I had done this one year ago. As the other review suggested, I hammered individual sections out (you don't even have to have a hammer really, just something solid like the end of a screwdriver or the butt of a knife) flat and cut them with a simple scissor. I then wrapped them around my sword plants carefully. They work like a charm! For the amount you get the price is very reasonable.After weighing down my swords, I placed some decorative large stones around them to camouflage the weights. I actually only needed about 18" worth off of the roll (I have a small 5-gallon tank) and there is plenty to use afterwards.

I use this very pliable lead to weigh down my aquarium plants since I have no gravel, sand, in my tank. This works perfectly. I cut off the right amount with simple scissors, then I take a hammer and flatten the piece out to wrap neatly around the bottom of the stems. It works so well and is far more reasonable than buying aquarium weights for plants made of lead. I've done this for years with no ill effects on my fish or my plants.

I like this product. The only reason it's not 5 stars is the extra cost for the smaller diameter version. This is just a bit too large, functional, but the next size smaller was about 50% more. Same overall weight.I've used it to wrap around hooks and it does work well. By my scale, 1 1/2" equals 1/8 oz. at least close enough to that for my needs.

Exactly as advertised. I just use them flattened out to wrap around the stems of plants in my aquarium to keep them underwater. It was much cheaper than buying purpose made strips.

It is what it says and worked for me. Wedge for screws in masonry.

used this to plant plants in my fish tank. my repens were always getting uprooted until now. Just hammer flat, cut a small piece, wrap the stem and place in the substrate.

Not really much to say. it's lead, which I'm sure is mixed with something, it seems a little too squishy for being pure lead. Plus I believe most lead sold isn't pure anyway, just seems to be the trend unless stated otherwise.Don't know the length as it's pretty long and i didn't want to lay out the length of lead all over the floor.4 out of 5 stars due to the lack of actual product information.
