About Taps
Straight flute design, made of 6542 high speed steel. It is used to process threads of various through holes or shallow blind holes. Can process copper, brass, A3 steel, aluminum, cast iron and other materials.
Generally used in conjunction with tapping machines, integrated bench drills, CNC lathes, machining centers, etc. Manual processing is also possible. When operating, control the speed according to the hardness of the material, the higher the hardness of the processed product, the slower the speed.
Recommended feed rate:
Hard steel: 5-10m/min, cast iron: 8-10m/min, ordinary steel: 6-15m/min.
About Dies
Made of alloy tool steel, hardness and wear resistance. Used to repair external threads. When in use, the conical locking hole of the die is aligned with the screw of the wrench and tightened. The conical keyhole has a strong locking force and is not easy to loosen.
Suggest:
Appropriate lubricating oil should be added to the die-cutting edge when cutting, It is to be reversed every 1/4~1/2 turn to facilitate chip discharge from the chip hole.

I purchased a quick change tool holder for my lathe, but the mounting base didn't fit my cross-slide. Not a problem, I just used the lathe to turn a new base plate. However, the threads were M14 x 1.5, which was larger than what I had in my metric set.I picked this up so I'd have a set for future use, and it worked well enough in my lathe. It would be nice if it included a properly sized drill, but I already had one in my tools that would work well enough.The tap itself worked as expected, and worked for a relatively deep (1.5") hole. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this brand again, but I'm not using this for production, just hobby use.

Some how I put motorbike gas tank liquid sealant on the threads and it dried. This tool removed it easy and did a clean job.

I used this to thread 6 studs and, upon removal, tap the wheel hub that were somehow damaged when my tractor was built at the factory. All 6 studs had been damaged and were cross-threaded into the wheel hub. I didn't expect much from this product based on the price point but instead of paying $40-$50 for a brand name product (probably built in the same factory) at the local store I decided to used this. Using oil and patience this product tapped & threaded everything with ease. I was extremely impressed as I can state that, without a doubt, the wheel hub is extremely high durability/hardened steel. Again I used oil and took my time when doing the work.All in all, I highly recommend this product.
