- Please be sure to take protective measures when working, you need to wear goggles and protective gloves.
- Before tapping confirm whether the diameter of the die is appropriate. Be sure to select the appropriate cutting oil for the complex tapping process and apply anti-rust oil for maintenance after use.
- It needs to be reversed every 1/4~1/2 circle to facilitate the chip discharge from the chip hole.

Used for the threaded end of a Bosch P7100 diesel injection pump. Someone before me took a punch to the threads in an effort to make sure the nut didn’t back off and the injection pump timing be thrown off. Was a very crude way of doing it.This M20x1.5 did the trick. It’s large enough in diameter that I was able to work it by hand and it fixed and cleaned up the threads perfectly to make way for the new nut and lock washer.Overall, happy with the quality and machining of this thread die.

If a die cuts too deep, the contact hold area is reduced and you either strip the threads or have a sloppy fit. This die left a little wiggle room but not too much and I torqued the parts down really tight without stripping.I was skeptical thinking this M24 2 pitch die would break and more so with the cheap handle I bought off amazon so I ordered 2... being fairly inexpensive.The die holder screws weren't in perfect alignment and I think that's on the die holder handle so I had to be extra careful.I'm not sure if there was a start side so I guessed.It would not start cutting at all until I flapsanded a slight bevel. Then it took alot of pressure and care to get it to align and get a proper bite. It did the job and I suspect a high end die would have had the same difficulties.Size matters. 24 mm is close too an inch so that's a big rod to thread. Took me about 1/2 hour total for a 1 inch long threaded surface.Lots of pressure and lots of backing out and restarting. I also used compressed air to clear the chips so it would bind less.I'm confused in that there are claims that the round ones cut new threads but the octagonal are strictly for cleaning up old threads. I sure don't see how that is but this round die cut fresh M24 2 pitch threads

Needed a M22x1.5 die when working on a 2007-2020 Jeep Patriot front wheel bearing retaining nut. Wasn't expecting great quality for the low price, but was pleasantly surprised. Die was made from quality tool steel, threads were well ground, sharp and correctly hardened. Made removing and replacing the wheel bearing nut an simple task and saved replacing the entire axle. Didn't use to cut new threads, but think it would do just fine.

I had removed the axle nuts to my 2002 camry without destaking them. Chewed up the axle threads something fierce. This Die fit perfectly the M22 1.5 shaft of the axle threads and cleaned them up to their original condition in no time. Very happy with this product, got me out of a tough situation.
