The spring-loaded mechanism can be locked in the open position; turn to put the spring in the closed position. The latch comes with either a heat-treated or stainless steel tube. Both feature a stainless steel pin and spring. Latch can be ordered unassembled for a custom installation. Extended plunger model is also available.

Welded on top of large self made barn doors. Work perfect with chain and self closing site made striker. Excellent quality product. Would buy again. Only complaint is if pull too far can stick. This cyl be remedied with a stop. Otherwise goo high quality product

I was surprised how heavy duty these are. Sometimes you get something in the mail that look good on screen but when you get them they can be no better than a toy. These are the opposite. It doesn't list a weight tolerance, but it will easily work for my cattle trailer door. They came clean without rust and ready to weld.

I didn't expect it to be so big, I was surprised. I thought about canceling the order and ordering a different pin, and it arrived and I was surprised by the size. They should put the measurements so they would have more sales. I thought it was very small.

Used to put swinging gates on a utility trailer. Had a few minor issues that we were able to work around: the pull handle is wider than the latch enclosure so had to reconfigure the pull handle so that it wasn't wider than the latch enclosure; the through pin that engages the latch in the retracted position sticks out the side...it may need to be filed down before welding the unit into position.

I purchased these thinking they were 1/2†actually they’re 5/8â€. No big deal. I just drilled my holes bigger. Worked great for my quick hitch on my lawnmower!

This thing is built well and strong. Welded to the frame perfectly. Strong spring to hold it in place. Will buy more when needed.

I’m using for a utility trailer tail gate latch, they work great and are very well built. All components are heavy duty. Should last a long time.

Pretty heavy duty. The pin has play though. For my application I can't use it. I need the pin pretty tight. For gates this would be perfect
