After reading several reviews I decided to trust an American made product. Glad I did.The instructions were adequate and it appears to be made of quality materials that should stand up. Very sturdy unit. Arrived on time with no parts missing.These devices are typically mounted on the rear of ATVs however since my UTV has a front 2" receiver hitch, I decided to mount it on the front. This solved a few problems. First of all, the power cord easily reaches my plug in point. Next I was able to rig an extension to the gate lever using a small furring strip so I can open/close the gate from my cab without having to jump in/out or waste a lot of product. Note on pics the front window on my Polaris Ranger flips fully open to allow this. By having everything in front of me I can also monitor to be certain it is functioning properly. I also added temporary deflectors using shipping cardboard since I didn't want a full 40' of broadcast. I will probably rig a permanent solution for this later.Spreading fertilizer it easily spread 100# in 10 minutes and as long as its dry with no lumps it flowed well with no hang ups. Damp or lumpy material will give you problems as there is no agitator in the hopper. Figuring proper speed and gate percent opening is by trial and error but they do provide a calculation sheet for this.The gate lever is a little cheesy but worked as advertised. I would think American engineers could come up with an improvement. The cover is a bit difficult to put on but should be easier over time. Better than having it too loose!Overall very happy with purchase and I recommend it to others. I expect with proper care it should hold up for many years.

Overall, this is a pretty good product. If the manufacturer would make some modifications, it would be great. The power cable is too short for a UTV. At this price, add another 4-6 ft to the cable so people can use it without needing to buy anything else. Next, the gate control is horrible. Fortunately, both issues can be overcome easily enough (buy an extension cable on Amazon and bungee the gate) however at this price, those things are so simple to fix the manufacturer should be doing it. Both are common complaints if you read through the reviews.The instructions aren't great (could use some more pictures) but overall, I did the assembly myself and can attach the spreader without help. This isn't a two person job at all.Works well and did its' job. Much easier than what I had been doing.

Perfect for a residential homeowner! Although the salter will not work, and gets clogged up right away.People can only make this salter work by buying this shaker/vibrator (see picture) off Amazon. Mount it to the bottom of the bin, and wire it together with the salter .....on the same switch.

I was really worried about this as some of the reviews had it like a mechanic had trouble. My kid could put this together. Absolute simple install, works great. Everyone knows this is for dry feed/seed/salt. Nothing clumping would ever come out of a gravity fed broadcaster.Overall great product. If I were to make this I would make several mounting holes on the tubes so you can pic where you want to mount this as it does stick out a little too far but not a big deal. But just a suggestion have multiple mounting sites on both tubes for both height and depth settings.

This is one of the easiest I’ve had to assemble. It took me less than 10 minutes without any instruction. That said, the gate is well made but poorly thought out. For one, if you mount it on a UTV you have to remove the tailgate to allow the lever that controls the gate to work. Secondly, the power cord is too short to reach a cigaret lighter. I had to by an extension. It’s obvious the makers of this product have never sewn a seed or for that matter have any clue what a seed rate is. In the end after wasting a lot of time and money, I ended up using a hand seeded to sew my seed in a food plot. If it were not so difficult to do in Kansas, I would have returned it.

I researched atv spreaders for 6 months.. This is the worst money I have ever spent on an implement to attempt to lay product on the ground. Everything clogs to the point I have to have a person on the rear of my machine to shake and kick the spreader to allow it to actually get out to be spread. It does have one real deal throw on it, upwards of 50 to 60 feet. That is entirely too much!!! There is no control as I said. Here is a bit...nope here is a lot or all of it NOW! It is built well except the 12v male lighter plug, That broke 8 minutes into using it. It is also very heavy and I had to utilize a ratchet strap to hold it up for safety for my machine and the spreader. This piece of equipment on the pro side is built to work and amazingly sturdy, if it had an agitator built into it it would be the bees knees. End of the day I would never buy it again but I will re engineer it. My apologies for being a karen but very expensive for the pain ive dealt with! By the way I have used this on a 2011 Artic Cat 450 TRV

I purchased this to use behind my compact tractor as It is much easier to connect this unit to a 2" receiver than a much heavier and much much more expensive three point PTO driven spreader. So far I spread 800lbs of fertilizer with absolutely no complaints at all. The assembly was very straight forward and the operation was very easy. Build quality is solid and I expect to get many years of use out of this spreader.

While the hitch mount and support are sturdy enough for support, the design of the hopper is such that only dry, free-flowing materials will (in theory) work with this spreader. Any moisture or clumping brings distribution to an immediate halt as there's nothing in the hopper itself to encourage the flow of material, even with the hopper door open to its widest. Despite the sturdiness of the support, the arm that opens and adjusts the hopper door is flimsy and ineffective. The lower collar doesn't attach adequately to stay on the arm, and the adjustable collars to set the door opening cannot be placed on each side of the support, so therefore they do not function as intended to regulate material flow. The pin system that allows for the removal of the hopper from the hitch support structure works well. However, the motor that operates the distribution spin plate is mounted on the bottom of the hopper itself with nothing to protect it. Not a well-thought design at all.

Does not work great for salt or any big seed. Needs and agitator to work properly so factor in an extra 100$ for that. The new owner cable is to short my kubota rtv x900 and needs modification and the flow adjustment is to far away a kit to extended it should be available

A good product but it would be a great product if it had some kind of auger inside container to help move salt/sand to discharge area.
