The 010M filter will eliminate unwanted invisible UV light, so that ocean and high mountain region photos will not be blurred or have a blueish cast. The filter also has a MRC Nano coating to repel water and dust.

B+W filters are among the best and worth the price. The filter itself well deserves five stars, so I've resisted reducing the overall rating to four stars because of its packaging in a cloth bag covering the filter with lint. Formerly B+W sensibly packaged their filters in clear plastic containers. The cloth bag is inappropriate. Maybe B+W wants to keep plastic out of landfills, but the plastic container might be kept for storage, while the cloth bag will definitely be disposed as trash.

I purchased this filter as a companion for my Tamron 18-300 superzoom lens. As should be expected from B+W, the build quality, glass, ridges, and thin form factor make this the perfect general-use filter for a lens requiring a 67mm screw-on filter.

I purchased this to protect my expensive lens and I didn't want it to distort my pictures. That is why quality is more important than price and this fits the bill. Easy to screw on and actually made it easier to put the lens cap on. That really surprised me because I would have thought it would be the opposite.

This filter is just excellent. Works flawlessly on the lens where I had it (Tamron 28-75 VXD G2) without any visual changes in the image quality. This filter really shows the best qualitis money can buy.
