I had watched several videos before purchasing this base plate, so I had a good idea what I was in for. The hardest part for me was removing the old bumper. That’s why I have a new one. The base plate was easy to install . My only draw back was the 2 studs that stick out for the electrical weren’t threaded. I had to tap myself with 1/4 -20.

First box arrived torn up and missing half the parts. Amazon had a new box to me within a day or two. My mechanic and I took about four hours to install on my 2016 Wrangler. Caution to anyone with model year pre-2010, the instructions say to cut through torsion bar! Crazy. Anyway, very sturdy and took some wrestling but done. Couple notes: 1. When you remove the plastic splash plate, it is best to purchase some new connectors as the old ones don’t work well a second time and 2. The instructions are kinda vague but adequate.

Installing on 2011 Jeep Rubicon Unlimited with EAG Stubby bumper.Box arrived beat up with holes in it where the two prongs for mounting the lighting plug are. They also are bent over about 3/4". Additionally, the left hand mounting plate is bent inward (in the opposite direction of the mounting prongs?) about 1/4". Should be able to straighten things enough to make it serviceable.Baseplate itself seems to be well built. Main reason for the bent parts I believe is the force was applied in a non-structural direction.

Arrived in a timely manner and fit precisely. Package was a little beat up and it did get bent slightly but was able to repair with a few whacks with a Mallett.

It was easy for me to install but I have been in the collision industry for 50 years and I have a lift at my house. With that said if you are mechanically inclined you should have no problem.

The base plate looks to be well made but not well fitted.I drilled the upper two holes as directed and found that one spacer plate did not line up with the base plate. It was about 1/4" off. The other spacer plate did line up with the base plate. I had To relive one hole in the miss drillepd spacer so it woud fit. The welded wire on the wize nut failed (broken in package) used some epoxy to attach wire to nut so I could install it. The plugs for attaching arms were cheesy and will have to replace them.

Have to drill the frame and only works with stock bumper. Had to remove our winch and after market bumper. However the stock bumper I got for $10 lol. Saved hundreds with this purchase over the name brand one. Works excellent

Install was too bad. Fit was very tight and seems well built

I awaited this item eagerly after reading other reviews and knowing it is NOT an Actual Blue-Ox product I was hesitant at first. But due to price and customer feedback, I figured I could return it if not satisfied.I opened the box and everything was packed carefully and protected with molded foam on each end.The loose parts were also in a separate box and carefully sealed and zip-tied to the main bar. This is a Chinese product (as stamped on the box) despite being shipped from USA to Australia.Looking at the welds and steel it appears high quality and the welds were very clean and tidy (powder coated finish). They carefully white-lubricated the sockets for attachments and provided instructions for installation with photos.NO its not USA made BUT at a glance over it seems to be high-quality and well designed overall.I will install it over the next week and provide some further feedback
