I bought these for a specific project. When my son brought home flowers, I needed a way to arrange them in a clear vase that was a little too roomy. I thought of these and poured some into the vase with water. I walk away for a few minutes and when I came back, they were plump. They held the flowers in place surprisingly well. When I tossed the flowers and strained the water, they shrunk back down. Not quite as tiny as they were originally, but still very small.I actually bought these bc they are clear and can hold some pretty blue stones in another vase. The idea (maybe from this listing?) is for the rocks to look suspended. I’m not sure why I thought they wouldn’t shrink after they dried, but that ruled them out, bc my project is a permanent shelf decoration, this is a non starter. I also want to note that these don’t ‘disappear’ like magic when submerged in water in a clear container. The shape is clearly visible and looks like a more elegant vase of clear marbles. I’ll find a use for them. :-)

Made 12 floating candles for Christmas gifts for co-worker using these water beads. They were definitely a huge hit. It does take more time for them to expand than I thought it would & believe me, a little goes a long way. Haft lots of fun with these. Great value too when you compare the price to those at local craft stores.

I used these water beads for centerpieces at a corporate meeting, and they were perfect! Just a 1/4 of the package filled two 5-gallon buckets once expanded. They stayed hydrated for all 5 days of the event, and even with lights underneath, there was no leaking to cause electrical issues. I’ll definitely buy these again for future events. Just a heads-up — keep them away from kids and pets, they can be dangerous if swallowed.

Purchased to use for some floating pearls as a centrepiece in an upcoming conference and trialled to ensure it would work. It worked beautifully. Can’t wait to see the finished piece on the night in full effect. Photo is 4 teaspoons of water gel left overnight. This pic is before topping up the water so the beads are not visible.

OMG I love these so much. Just be careful on how many beads you use as they really do grow. They are long lasting and have looked fabulous with the coloured beads I also bought for my Christmas table decorations.
