The C & A Scientific Premiere MSK-01L Basic Monocular Compound Microscope has a 10x eyepiece with pointer, a forward-facing nosepiece with three objectives, LED illumination, nested coarse and fine focus, disc diaphragm, and a mechanical stage. The monocular viewing head has a fixed inclination to reduce eye and neck strain. An eyepiece pointer is used to identify features for students. A forward-facing nosepiece eases changing objectives. A basic compound microscope is used in classroom, home school, and hobbyist settings for inspection and dissection of specimens when two-dimensional images are desired.
The microscope has lower (diascopic) Brightfield illumination that transmits light up through the specimen for enhanced visibility of translucent and transparent objects. Brightfield (BF) illumination allows the specimen to absorb light, resulting in a dark image on a light background. The LED light source provides bright, cool light for working with temperature-sensitive or live specimens, and has a six-hole disc diaphragm to control the amount of light illuminating the specimen. The mechanical stage locks the slide into place and provides precise slide manipulation along the X- and Y-axes Coaxial coarse and fine focus knobs are nested to speed focusing for left-and right-handed viewers.

The microscope is nice. Seems to work fine. I give it 3 🌟. But customer service I would give 5 🌟. They handled my problem with the 40x lens. Thanks

This microscope is a great microscope for basic science. It is so inexpensive that you usually will not have a mechanical stage and sometimes a fine focus. You get all of this! I homeschool and this will serve our Biology class well. Very satisfied!

I love the microscope, and think it is a great addition to my goat keeping journey. I don't know how to contact the seller for a replacement charge cord though. I'm hoping this q star review will get someone's attention and they will reach out to me, with assistance. I will of course put all 5 merited starts at that point for a great product.

Works great. I use it for fecal checks on my horse. Easy to use and very portable. I can use it at home or at the barn

If you have a limited budget and need mechanical stage, this is the microscope you need. I agree with all the top reviews and will be using mine for the same purposes.

The microscope seems to be able to magnify and light up a specimen. the Instructions are not very complete. The dial on the base of the scope is supposed to dim the light. I found this out from looking at another scope where that dial was working. I could not find that out in the instructions. I tried to return the item, but was unable to do so through Amazon because the time was 2 days more than the 1 month when I discovered this.

I use this microscope to perform fecal counts on livestock. Works quite well. Durable. Dependable. Intermediate resolution which is perfect for fecal counts. Moveable stage is essential.

It is a very nice microscope for the price. I bought it for my 9 year old grandson and he loves it.
