There's not a lot to say about a cable obviously. The general build quality feels pretty good to me. I don't think any pins will miss and break off or anything like that. The wire is quite thick, so I don't think it will crimp or break easily either. I believe the X52 uses all of the pins, so I think that this does also mean this is a full proper cable without any wires missing or anything. (I could be mistaken.)Bear in mind this is male-to-male. This won't work as, say, an extension cord. For PS/2 use, as others have said, it's pretty much for things like a KVM. Modern ones may need to use USB instead. For the X52 it fits tight and doesn't fall out though, so I can definitely say it works well there. Bear in mind it's a bit long. That may be a good thing if one actually wants to mount the two parts, but if they're close together you may have to roll it up and zip-tie it or something and it will stick out a bit obviously. (Sadly it's hard to find a really short male-to-male PS/2 cable that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.) I think most X52 users will be pretty happy with this.

Useless. I'm trying to help a relative who bought a new PC. She doesn’t like the Bluetooth keyboard and mouse that came with it and wanted to use her old PS/2 devices.I'd seen a lot of recent 1-star reviews where the adapter didn't work, but figured I'd take a chance, hoping my purchase would be the exception. :PI tried it with my own working PS/2 devices but no luck. I'm advising her to buy a new keyboard and mouse.

I have an IBM keyboard that I will never part with. Only problem is that it has a PS2 connector so I had to buy this adapter to use it on a new mini computer. It appears that none (that I have looked at) have a PS2 port available. The adapter is well made and it works well with no problems.

It's a PS/2 mouse or keyboard extender and it does exactly that and does it well. Why am I even reviewing this? Nobody uses PS/2 cables anymore anyway, why in the world are you reading this review? But wait....why would I buy not only one, but two of these ancient relics?!? Doesn't matter, if you need one this works, but you're better off going back up to the search bar to read reviews off some new computers along with a USB or bluetooth mouse and keyboard combo. So get off your model-T Ford and go to your nearest pay phone or rotary phone at home and order some upgraded hardware asap via the fastest pony express and thank me later.

The pins and their metal sheath are about 1mm too short for a universal PS/2 cable. This is fine for most uses, e.g. in conjunction with a KVM switch or a PS/2 extension cable. However, i'm using this with two speakers that require a PS/2 cable for interconnect, and the pins are just barely too short to keep steady contact. Comparing this cable's pins and metal sheath to those of several other male PS/2 plugs that i have lying around, this cable's connector is shorter than some, and the same size as others.Overall, the cable is fine. It's well made. The metal sheath, around the pins, grips the port well. It's just that the connector is too short to be used for universal applications. Would it have been prohibitively expensive to add another millimeter of pin length?

The Keyboard...I have it hooked up to my Compaq Laptop and my Logitech Access Keyboard right now and it seems to be working reasonable well. None of the dedicated accessory keys work such as volume etc. But as I rarely use these keys it is not a great loss. My motivation for purchasing this device was that it is a cheap and fast band aid solution, to my dislike of laptop keyboards. Granted I have every intention of buying a dedicated full size USB keyboard in the very near future. But for the moment this adaptor suits my purposes. The mouse...My Laptop mouse is Logitech notebook mouse which is USB wireless...However as I heard so many negatives about the mouse adaptor as an experiment I tried the mouse adaptor with an older model (roller ball NOT Laser) Compaq mouse. And it seems to work fine on that device as well. With no disrespect intended towards buyers and users of Dell Computers or the capabilities of Dell Computers. I have heard in the past that they can be a little temperamental with "foreign" devices. So I would advise those users to purchase these sort of adaptors with caution.

I tried it with a working PS/2 keyboard on two computers. It would not work on either one. Both computers "chirped" when the device was inserted in the USB port. Windows XP reported a error when trying to install. Windows 10 did not. Do not buy!

The cable and connectors on this item look to be good quality, and is The Perfect Match if you've got a black PS/2 keyboard. Other Cable Choices are usually "grey" or "yellow-y/white", and if you are going to be stuck with a wired keyboard in 2020, might as well spend a little more to get a cable that matches the keyboard. Beyond that, current mainboards may still include an either-or PS/2 port, and in those cases having a PS/2 keyboard around is Most Useful for troubleshooting USB issues. The added six feet allows one to plug in the keyboard and have enough slack to get as far as the nearest chair.Plus there is the other Old Trick - if you plan to plug in/remove the KB Quite a Bit, let the extension cable take the possible risk of Bent Pins. Odds are it would be easier to get another extension cable than a PS/2 keyboard.

I wanted to connect my old keyboard to my new computer but it didn't work. Is it possible to return it for a refund?

Great, does exactly what they are supposed to, only thing stopping it get 5 stars, is the fact that the delivery took so very long,

Cord went missing for my Saitek X52 Flight control System and I found it hard to find a replacement. This product came very fast and works great! (I will update this review if any issues in the future and state how long lasted).
