I bought a suspect brand of TRS F unions a year ago and the cables slip out too easily. These unions, on the other hand, give a solid, secure connection that doesn't slip apart.

Not very well engineered!! Contact's bend over when inserting a trs cable making it difficult to plug in completely making the unit un-usable. I did not open the packages when purchased (2022) waiting to rewire my studio. Much too long a time to make a return of the 3 packages. I am cautious about making another purchase of this brand.I hope this helps and that the issue is addressed and changes made.

I purchased these adapters to join a couple of instrument cables from my amplifier to microphone. It did the job fine. Easy to connect, no noticeable increase in noise or static. Good product.

Update: now 5-star rating due to excellent warranty and customer service. After almost of year of my ignoring the issue, I decided to try for a warranty replacement using Cable Matters RMA request found on the company web site. My request was promptly processed with only a few email exchanges of the company performing due diligence (IMHO). Result: a replacement 2-pack!, (not just a single item) was sent at no change (no S/H fees). Wonderful customer service attitude worthy of upgraded rating and future business.Original 3-star review: Fresh out of the package, one worked and one didn't. Using as instrument cable coupler; initial failure could be why some reviews report coupler as "doesn't work (at all)".
