This adapter was purchased to connect a Surface Pro tablet computer directly to a large screen monitor, and it works perfectly. It is a lower cost than the brand name adapters (Microsoft, Belkin, etc.) which contributes highly to making this a purchase I can recommend.

I bought this product back in 2017 and I still use it today!! Since my Surface Pro 3 laptop doesn't have an HDMI cable slot on the side, I used this adapter to connect the HDMI cable to my laptop to my television- for study group sessions and it worked great! I'm very satisfied with the quality of it, especially since it's marked at a great price. As I mentioned before, I purchased this product in 2017 and it still works great to this day. The pictures I posted along with the review demonstrate how I use the adapter and it also shows an estimate of the size of it.Pros:-adapter is made of good quality, or at least that's what I think since it has worked very well since I purchased it 2 years ago- it's not bulky, at all and it's easy to carry in the laptop bag anywhere I go- adapts with any HDMI cable- great price- arrived fastCons:-I truly don't have any issues/cons with this product.

Originally I bought a full lightning to HDMI cable and it didnt last long. I decided to try this and its been working great for over a year. I like that I can keep HDMI cables plugged into the back of the TV and just have to plug this into my macbook and the HDMI end and I'm good to go. Video and audio are both excellent. Very secure at both ends, with no wiggle room like my previous purchase.UPDATE (4/22/16): It had a pretty good run.. After almost exactly 2 years of use it finally crapped out. I thought it was the new hdmi's I purchased, but after switching things around it still wouldn't work. I'm very gently with my wires and usually end up leaving it plugged in for days so I'm not sure what caused it to stop working. With some wiggling I was able to get the display to work, but not the sound. I bought the Amazon version to replace it and hopefully it lasts a little longer than 2 years. For the price, I can't complaint too much though since when it did work it was good quality picture and sound.

It's rare now-a-days when any electronic device just works. I've eve had problems with straight USB cables that aren't up to spec. Not here!Although there is no real reason why a product this simple shouldn't work, I am elated it does. The build quality is great too. Shiny plastic, that doesn't scratch or dent or bend, which makes the HDMI female side of this very sturdy.Excellent value.

I bought this Mini Displayport to HDMI since I have a 2014 Macbook Air that I wanted to connect to the new screen that I recently bought. I didn't want the hassle of constantly unplugging a different HDMI cable from the monitor so I decided to get an adapter so I can just connect to that one HDMI cable. I have a PC for work and a Mac for home use so this works out pretty well.User Friendly/Design:The design is pretty simple and not too bulky. The part where it says "Cable Matters" appears to be plastic which is fine but doesn't seem to be the best quality. Not a big concern though. The adapter isn't too long so it doesn't take up too much space. You just plug in an existing HDMI cable into one end and plug in the Mini DP part into the Macbook Air. It is basically fool proof.Material:The wire itself for the adapter appears to be slightly thinner than most of the HDMI cables that I have bought. I like this because of the ability to stow away more easily. The plugs are gold plated which supposedly makes connection better. I haven't seen any difference since it has been working the way it should be. Only time will tell whether or not this adapter will hold up.This adapter is affordable, convenient, and easy to use. I would recommend this to anyone who is in the market as it is also easy to store away.

I love this thing. It WORKS GREAT! I have never had any issue with it since I received it (April 2014 ). I use it every time I travel to stream all kinds of media content, including Netflix, Amazon Prime, UltraViolet movies, etc.I have connected and reconnected it A LOT. I use it in hotel rooms, so when I leave the room, I unplug it from my Surface Pro 2 so I can put it away, then when I come back, pull out my Surface Pro 2 and plug it back in. I probably connect / disconnect a lot more than your average user.You cannot beat it for the price, very good quality as far as I am concerned. I have 24+ years working with computers and cables. I have seen cheap cables, this is not one!

This is a great cable for older computers or laptops. I use this cable on a late 2011 MacBook Pro 13 inch. It worked the minute I plugged it in without hand glitches and distorted images. The one thing to note for MacBook Pro is that if you want to close your lid and keep the monitor or tv still with the desktop so you can save space, you have to have it plugged in all the time.TL;DRA great working cable that costs less then most on amazon

I have a 2017 macbook air with below average specs and an hour of battery life left. It’s pretty breaten up, but even then the cable works well with it. No need for adjustments, plugging and unplugging etc and I’m pretty messy with how I use this old laptop nowadays. So if you’ve got something similar that you wanna get more out of, this cable’s a good purchase.

Very good quality cable. I have ThinkPad T450 and now I am able to connect to my Full HD TV via HDMI cable along with Audio on Ubuntu 1604.. I can screen mirror or do a extended display.
