I'm using this cable to connect my laptop (USB 4 port) to my 4k/120hz monitor. It works flawlessly, no complaints at all. DisplayPort 1.4 is fast enough for 4k/120hz and indeed that's what it does. It's marketed as a Thunderbolt cable, but since USB 4 shares a lot of the same functionality as Thunderbolt 3/4, it works fine for that as well. It's not the cheapest cable you'll come across, but it's build quality is fine, and it seems to meet just about any spec for any TV or monitor with Displayport that you're likely to come across. Good product.

HDMI cable and/or port wasn't working for a new NUC I bought for the wife (was not supporting the 21:9 ratio @ 60Hz), it's an Ultra 7 155H. Plugged this cable into the first Thunderbolt port on the back of the NUC and resolution hit what I was looking for first time. (aka native 3440x1440@60Hz) Windows 11 2h24. 5/5 would recommend

I recently purchased the Cable Matters 32.4Gbps Bidirectional USB C to DisplayPort 1.4 Cable (6 ft) and it has exceeded all my expectations. This high-quality cable supports 8K at 60Hz and 4K at 144Hz, making it perfect for anyone looking to elevate their display setup, whether for gaming, professional work, or home entertainment. One of the standout features is its bidirectional functionality. This means you can use it to connect from USB-C devices to DisplayPort monitors, or vice versa. This flexibility is particularly useful if you have a variety of devices and displays to work with. The 6-foot length is just right for most setups, offering enough slack without creating clutter. The build quality of the cable is impressive. It feels sturdy and well-constructed, with reinforced ends that can withstand daily plugging and unplugging. The 32.4Gbps bandwidth ensures seamless data transfer, so there's no lag or delay, which is crucial for high-resolution gaming or video editing.Setting it up was a breeze. I connected my USB-C laptop to my 4K monitor, and the signal was immediately recognized with perfect clarity. The colors are vibrant, and the image quality is sharp, demonstrating the cable's capability to handle high-definition content without any degradation.Additionally, the cable supports HDR (High Dynamic Range), which further enhances the visual experience with more vivid colors and better contrast. This feature is a game-changer for watching movies or working on graphic-intensive projects.Overall, the Cable Matters USB C to DisplayPort 1.4 Cable is a must-have for anyone needing a reliable and high-performance connection between modern USB-C devices and DisplayPort displays. Its robust build, excellent data transfer speeds, and versatility make it an excellent investment. Highly recommended!

After purchasing this and after it shipped I got a little nervous because I read some of the bad reviews that said it was not bidirectional and doesn't work from a DisplayPort source to a USB-C monitor. This was my purpose in buying it, so I was concerned. But now that I've tested it, it does work in that direction. I have it plugged into the DisplayPort output of my laptop dock and going to the USB-C input of my 4K USB-C monitor (I also have the monitor plugged into electricity with its power cable). This works perfectly. I get the highest resolution that my monitor supports (4K@60Hz). I don't know why this apparently didn't work for others, but I'm happy.

This USB-C to DisplayPort 1.4 works great when the USB-C connector is connected to the host device and the standard DisplayPort 1.4 connector goes into the monitor, however it does not work at all when in reverse. This has been tested on two portable USB-C monitors (CASKING 1080p 240Hz/300Hz 15.6" and UPERFECT 1600p 144Hz 18") and a Samsung OLED G8 which has two USB-C inputs.USB-C on the monitor, DisplayPort as the video source = No goDisplayPort on the monitor, USB-C as the video source = Works really well1 star off because of the wrong advertising that it is bi-directional cable when it is not. 4 stars because the cable works great as long as the source host has a USB-C output (DP Alt Mode), which most modern laptops do now.

Solid cable. I got this to connect my work laptop to my 34†ultrawide monitor. It couldn’t display at the proper resolution via HDMI. This did the trick.

On a 4K resolution at every few hours it stops working.I have to take the cable out and put back on in order to make it work again. Not a good quality product.

Was a bit hesitant to try this but after seeing a few other people recommend this I tried it out. It works seamlessly from a DisplayPort on an RTX GPU to the correct Thunderbolt port on an Apple Studio Display. Got my 5K @60Hz although no support for the monitors inbuilt speakers or webcam.
