I journal often, and for the price, this journal is of very good quality.The journal was covered in plastic which kept it clean and in good shape.The cover is soft—be careful when laying items on it, as an impression may be left. The emblem is clean and well-indented.The journal lays flat, and the pages are stitched with a place for dates in the top left corner.Overall, the journal is of great quality for the price. I purchased 3.

This product is well made. There is a place for date at the top of every page. The height between lines is wider than that of lined paper and works well for me with my arthritis. I use it to write prayer lists, personal thoughts, notes, whatever. There is no bleed through on the oages. The elastic band allows it to stay closed. There is a square piece of leather attached to the band that I use to hold my ink pen that has a clip.
