These bags work great. I’m tall, so I have to turn all front bags on their side to get a comfortable shot. These fit in my range bag and I have room left over for other items. Not that heavy and seem well built. We’ll see over time how durable they are. I get a much steadier shot from a bag than I do from a bipod. Makes shooting my KYL target a lot of fun.

These bags are a perfect weight, just heavy enough to be stable without being heavy when carried, The size and shape. are a great compromise to fit many rifles. I have a really weird-shaped one, and it works great. 1/2 point off for the material, which should last forever if used carefully. However, it will surely ravel if it gets pounded or snagged by a rough pic rail. The edges should have been heat fused to prevent raveling so easily. 4.5 stars, recommended!

As pretty much everyone has stated, this is a great bag. Solid, stable, perfect for the range. I recommend without reservation.That said, when I ordered mine (Black Friday deal), the price difference between the filled and unfilled was only $6. I didn't think it was a big deal to just grab some cat litter or a bag of rice and do it myself. In the end, it took 12 lbs. of rice to fill both bags, which cost me about $7 (cat litter, it turns out, costs even more). It only took a half hour, and while it was a little tricky to get the bags plumped up sufficiently, I think I did a decent job. That said, from what I'm reading, the buckwheat hulls or whatever they fill them with at Caldwell are likely lighter in weight, and from the pictures, they look to be filled out a little better than I could achieve. All that to say, I didn't really save anything by buying them empty, but I'm still very pleased with the purchase.

The Theory of Unexpected Consequencesafter reading many reviews of this rest I decided to order the unfilled bags and fill them myself when they arrived . Many different types of material ,were listed in reviews, to fill these bags with . I decided upon kitty litter and purchased 2- 10 lb. bags at Walmart of the cheapest clay based litter they carried . It was $1.30 a bag. Very inexpensive . Used an extra funnel we had on hand to fill them . Took about 30 min to completely fill them. I would pour in the kitty litter until it reached the top, then gently tap the bag on the concrete until it settled in the bag. repeated this until it wouldn't settle any more and the bag was full. in the end there was about 2-3 inches of kitty litter remaining in the second bag, which I gave to a neighbor that has a cat. Took the bags to the range and they work perfectly. They don't move around, they stay put on the bench, and they provide a very solid rest for my rifle. The quality on these is excellent and I expect them to last for years and years. The problem is now I have an extra 20 lbs. to carry out to the firing line every tine I go shooting. I thought about getting a cart as I have seen these before at the range. But I'm not really a cart type of guy , so I got a large range bag to carry it all. Caldwell makes an excellent product of good quality material and I highly recommend them. Just be careful of the material you decide upon to fill them with because of the extra weight you will have to carry around.

Use it to sight in all my rifles- modern or classic bolt action. Have used it several times and have fired hundreds of rounds off it and still looks good as new.

Il prodotto arriva vuoto e va riempito con tutulo di mais, o altri materiali granulari. Non è pensato per essere riempito di sabbia che oltre a portare il peso tipo a 6 chili per il solo anteriore andrebbe probabilmente uscendo dalle chiusure. Finiture materiale perfetti.

I filled it with cat litter. It works really well but it is heavy. I didn’t give it five as it is very difficult to carry when carrying a gun and other requisites to the range. It need a good carrying handle as the one fitted is too small and difficult to get fingers underneath when the bag is filled.
