EASY-PEASY installation and ROCK solid once properly mounted. CALDWELL is a well-known name brand for the gun enthusiast and their "Caldwell Pic Rail Adaptor Plate" is further evidence in providing expected quality, durability, and usefulness of their products. Combined with an "Uncle Mike's Forearm Post" on my project airgun (Crosman Ratcatcher .22 cal), I can now utilize a quality bipod fixture to tighten up my groupings. Caldwell knocked this one way out of the country pasture! NO MORE RABID empty beer cans to worry about with this product. EXTREMELY PLEASED with this purchase and item arrived like a .338 on a 600 yd. bear....nothin' flat! The arm strap "thingy" is a REAL hoot and I LOVE that it was incorporated into the engineering design! One product, TWO very useful purposes!! Let's go find us another RABID empty beer/ bear can, WE ARE READY! ($20 bucks is twenty bucks, RIGHT??)

This rail adapter did not fit on my stock as tight as I wanted because of my sling stud. So I disassembled the adapter, put a thin piece of foam rubber against the stock and then reinstalled rail adapter. It is now a very solid mount and my bipod fits without any wobble.

The installation is not as easy as some people have stated, but it could be the make/model of my rifle. It took me 30 minutes to sort out the characteristics of my rifle because the sling attachment was too short in to align the holes for the mounting rod. If you have a Savage Axis II 6.5 Creedmoor, you must loosen the sling knob one full turn so the holes align. There is no padding or protection to avoid damage from the adapter screws to secure the rail to your gun stock. I recommend you use something to place on your stock to prevent damage. There was not enough adapter alignment angle to get the unit parallel with my barrel. This may not be the case for other types of rifles. Once installed the adapter was very sturdy. I would not recommend this adapter for the Savage Arms Axis II XP 6.5 Creedmoor Bolt-Action Rifle, but it may work for different rifle models. I haven't found anything close to the functionality of this adapter model, if anyone finds something better please respond. Thank you.

Seems very sturdy on 10/22 but none of my slings will fit on the swivel on this mount. unable to use with sling so had to remove.

Mounted easily in minutes to swivel stud. Fits great with no wiggle or gaps to fill with dirt and debris. Perfect size for my QD bipod.

Fitting to a Savage B22 required me to turn out the sling stud a bit and smooth out the rubber on the mount. Overall not a hard install at all. For as light as it says it is, it does add some weight to the front end. For what it's worth though, it's a heavy barrel and already a tad front heavy
