Everything was nicely packed. Fixed my Edelbrock right up.

Good assortment of rods and jets to lean or enrich your fuel mixture in those Carter AFB style carbs. I would start with the rods since you don't have to take apart the carb just remove the tiny covers on either side. If that doesn't do the trick then you may have to remove the top cover to change the jets. The rods make it easy to change the fuel mixture for altitude or temperature.

Well you get what you pay for. This carburetor tuning kit is a cheap copy, at less 1/4 the $, of the 1487 kit sold by Edelbrock for the Performer series carburetors. Even the component PNs marked on the rods and jets match exactly with the Edelbrock #s. I already have a genuine 1487 kit but have misplaced a few rods so I picked this up to refresh my kit and and make it complete again while adding additional spares. I am glad I really only need 2 rods out of this kit because the quality of this kit is pretty terrible. The metering rods appear to be of OK quality and measurements taken with calipers at least found them to be of correct sizing so I would say that they are the best part of this kit and the only part worth attempting to use.The jets in the kit were clearly machined by someone who doesn't know what they're doing because they milled the slot for the screwdriver head AFTER cutting the threads which left a giant burr of material in the threading. Every single jet in this kit would either need the threads chased with a die or cleaned up by hand with a file before use. You cannot install these jets in your carb as-is out of the box.The step-up springs come all mixed together and I received an incomplete set of springs with 1 pair of springs being completely mismatched in their sizing. Also, the springs have no identification method at all and Trucktok doesn't provide any data in the product listing page about what vacuum level each spring pair is supposed to transition the rod at. In contrast, the springs in the real 1487 kit are color coded and come with a reference chart saying what vacuum level they are intended for.Lastly, this kit just comes in zippered clear bag. At least the rods and jets were sub-bagged in their matched pairs but this is still a poor storage solution. Even at this cheap price point they could've included a small plastic tackle style organizing container to keep the parts stored and organized. I'd recommend avoiding this kit unless you're absolutely strapped for cash and spending a little more on the genuine 1487 kit.
