This stuff is great. The tin is relatively small but you don’t use a lot. When used correctly the tin will last a very very long time. Just needed to restock after about 10 years on the last one I bought.

So many people never service their reels properly. This grease was made for salt water intrusion and keeps things working. It’s my go to grease for internal gears. A little goes a long way. I use a small short hair paint brush. From experience, don’t use your wife’s makeup brush.

Replaced drag washers in Penn reels and applied grease to washers and gears. Nice and smooth! 1oz may not seem like much but I still have plenty left after doing 5 reels

It freed up the drag on all four reels I used it on. The drags are now perfectly smooth with no binding before release. The way I tested my reels drags was to spin the spool with my fingers as slow as I could and see if the would spool and lurch and stop or spin freely.

Have a older reel that is hard to find now since folks are always making bigger and better. However very happy with my real and looked on YouTube on how to rebuild it. The person in the video recommended this and am very pleased with the results. My old reels back to it's youthful self.

Cal tan grease is the only grease I would use to keep drag washers supple and pliable. I primarily fish lakes in CT for trout. When you service your reel with this product, feel confident when the large fish hits that this product will not fail. Tight lines !!
