At the price of riding lawnmowers nowadays, it's way worth it to do you own maintenance and replace belts and parts as needed. Now my D105 Deere lives again. Quiet and positive engagement.

Shipped promptly, actually arrived earlier than expected. Parts were complete in box and fit mower perfectly. Everything works as expected. Time will tell if these non OEM parts last as long as the original but at less than 1/3 of the cost of OEM, it seems worth the risk. As there are no instructions included, make sure to use Loctite 454 or alternative thread locker on the screw that secures the cap over the spring. Also, the OEM screw is a torx head and the supplied screw is a phillips. I've heard it's easy to over tighten the cap screw and snap the bolt, so the phillips head may prevent over tightening.

My John Deere D105 had been running slow for a few years now. It started to get worse a couple of week ago so I started to do some research for a fix. Most said the issue probably is with the belt and pulley. Purchase this one from Amazon installed it and boom. This lawnmower is fast. I forgot how fast it used to go. I gave it four stars because the original screw was a Torx screw and this kit just has a regular screw. Hopefully this product will hold up for many years.

Great kit. Fixed my drive issue on my JD D105. I found it easier to drop the transmission to install the new kit. There is a lot of pressure on the spring to compress it and get the small screw started is almost impossible without removing transmission. It was also a good time to replace my cracked drive belt since I removed the deck.Drives great now.

It fit my JD d105 perfectly. I almost didn't buy because of the few reviews that said it would t but glad I did

After spending most of the morning dropping the transmission and replacing the part couldn’t even mow the lawn for 10 minutes when I noticed under load the tractor had no power would run on pavement once you started mowing it would lose its powerThe part was not spinning causing it to get hot and melt the plastic

I would have gave this 5 stars BUT, the supplied drive belt is WAY too thick. Almost triple the thickness of my worn belt I took off the unit. It makes the secondary pulley fins on the bottom of the unit rub the lever that pulls on the assembly when stationary. Once you have the parking brake on or are on the travel lever (gas pedal) the rubbing goes away since the secondary pulley is being compressed into the belt. A belt half the thickness would do the job just fine. I made this work by shaving down the secondaries bottom fins from contacting the selector pull rod. I haven’t verified this 100% works and isn’t going to cause issue yet considering it’s still winter but I did travel up and down my driveway with it in the lower rpm (turtle) range, I have faith it’ll work out. My mower is a D105 FYI.
