Another fine part to insure that the cooling system will be working properly for years. You never know when a cooling system might fail and when I rebuild my system I make sure that every part is a quality product 👌.

Our son says that this Caltric water pump switch sensor for a Polaris Sportsman was very easy to install and a good value for the price.

The sensor I received is faulty. Turns on engine high temperature light at around 200 degrees F and does not turn off until 165 degrees F. I used an infrared thermometer to measure max temperature of the engine block periodically while machine heated up. The range of functionality is too large and is not consistent with the atv maintenance manual. Should turn on around 220 and off at 185. Unreliable. Atv is a 1999 Polaris Sportsman 500.Update: I contacted the seller. They have no idea what the operating temperature of this part is. I purchased the correct after market part from Quad-Logic. Look them up.

The replacement part did not match exactly the configuration of the factory part, but it fixed the overheating problems.

Bought for 2000 Sportsman, it activated the over temp light about a minute after start up every time. I did what another reviewer on here said to do and buy one from Quad Logic which is much beefier (the area you put the wrench on is a lot bigger and also surrounds the internal electronic components).

Good Quality, NOT OEM Quality but good chineese copy works well

Bought in December, but did not try to install until recently. Unfortunately, too late to return. Do not buy if you are trying to replace in a 1998 Polaris Sportsman 500, as it does not fit.

The diameter of this thermostat didn’t fit the radiator also purchased from Caltric
