It features an 8-inch wide clamp with soft, non-marring grippers that protects the awning fabric and can be used with a screen room in place. Wide grippers help keep awnings more stable in wind and rain. The de-flapper holds securely with hook and loop fastener straps and will fit most RV awnings. Product measures 8-inches x 3-inches x 2 ½-inches and is made of durable nylon with UV stabilizers. The straps are chemical-resistant and rust proof. Quantity: 2-pack.

These de-flappers are extremely sturdy and will last for years. They really do prevent the awning from flapping in the wind, and make them much more stable. Billowing and rattling is severely reduced and allows us to keep our awning deployed, even in a moderate wind! They install and remove in seconds! We are very happy with them!

I love to put my awning out on my travel trailer, but learned on my very first camp out to never leave it out if you go to town, as a storm came in - and when I got back my awning was all twisted up.I bought these before going to the beach, knowing the wind would be high. They worked like a charm in 30 mph wind. But, beach wind is consistent (unless there is a storm). If you have wind surges over 30 mph, would put the awning in. There was no major flapping, just kept the awning taut. My trailer awning has a built in clamp in the middle (nowhere as good as these), but placed this clamp between the end and the built in clamp. There was one day of wind gusts that did cause lite flapping above the built in clamp up to where it is mounted on the trailer. I plan on buying two more pairs to space out evenly (not going to use the built-in clamps). Highly recommend.

I wish they had just another couple of inches of straps. Awning fabrics shrink, so it's a little bit of a stretch to get the full gripper on the fabric. It did the job!!! It held the awning in winds coming directly onto the front of the motorhome with gusts over 30 mph it only let go once in 24 hours. Extreme conditions and they held. I can recommend these without any reservations.

Let these on for 7 months straight through all weather conditions. The awning was still In great shape when I finally rolled It up. But I used 3 de-flappers on each side.

Our old de-flappers served us for many years and it was time for a new set. When these came I was surprised how well they were made and how big they were. These were 2-3 times bigger then my old ones and that extra size holds on to my awning great. The Velcro straps are strong and easy to use.Love these!

Good design will hold the awning in the middle and prevent flapping one problem. The Velcro straps are not long enough. I have an 18 foot which is actually a 17‘2“ awning and you can’t even get it around the braces. So I’m having to buy longer strapsIf you do purchases, make sure you buy longer straps to go along with it unless you have an 18 foot bar and an 18 foot awning or whatever size because other than that it won’t work on any size

These are great and do the job they are meant to.Two is enough for the job if you think you need more then it’s to windy and time to wind the awning in.
