The Camco 42005 Awning Roller Ball is a fantastic little gadget. It mounts directly to the RV door and prevents the awning from getting ripped by the door's sharp corners. Installation was quick and easy, and it works like a charm. Just make sure not to overtighten it since it's plastic. Highly recommend for anyone looking to protect their awning.

It'll push the awning fabric up while you're using the door, but the ball is a gimmick because it does not roll at all.

Our RV door has curved corners, so placement needs careful measuring (ie. eyeballing). Usually the doors don't come anywhere near the awning, but when a passing shower happens and we lower one or both corners for this reason or that, both doors will scrape. This did the trick for cheaper than I could've jerry-rigged something. Install was quick ( I did pre-drill into both the screen and entry doors). Nice little mod. FYI, you shouldn't use bleach to clean your awning! It does an awesome job, and degrades the material over time. You pick.

Deffinetly worth buying. Will save the life of your awning! Completely eliminates any rubbing from the door corner. Make sure to place it high enough on the door. I recommend attaching it with the door closed so you wont get it too tight too the door preventing the door from shutting properly. (hubbies 1st mistake - too tight, then too low) so we had to unattach and move it which left an exposed screw hole. So, in short, take my advice and attach it to the door with the door closed.

The actual size of this item is much smaller than stated in description.. the ball is less than 3cm not the 5cm stated.

This roller works well. I had to angle it a little as the door edge overlaps the jam and I couldn't put a screw there. The ball doesn't roll freely but that's not a problem as it is smooth and it moves under the awning well. Had the opportunity to test it while using the awning and it works perfectly.
