I repurchased this product after using one for six years. Knowing it had a number of major faults. The product in the box did not match the online Amazon photo or description. To my surprise the product, clearly showing Camco 45401, on the material and on the box, exceeded my expectations. .Perhaps Camco read the previous reviews and improved this windshield cover. An attached upper and lower 1/2" wide black webbing strap has replaced the loose cords. The metal grommets, which scratched my towed vehicle, are gone. Both straps are plenty long enough to extend across the interior of the vehicle to secure the windshield cover in place. The straps snap together and can easily be tighten for a good fit. The cover is wider than the previous one and covers the entire windshield of the Sprinter. I'm using this cover on the Motorhome to protect the interior of the cab from ultraviolet rays and to reduce the interior temperature.

About the right size for my Chevy Colorado. I was worried about purchase given the reviews but it was better than expected. It’s a medium thickness vinyl with thin soft backing. It didn’t scratch the windshield, stayed in place with minor wind flapping and provided what I wanted, no cracks or chips on the windshield of my toad.

Purchased this product when I needed to move across the country in the winter. My previous move without windshield protection resulted in a very pitted windshield. This product did protect the windshield, however no matter how tight you attempt to attach this product, the continual friction of the straps in the wind with road grime damaged both sided of the car where the strap touched the paint. Very disappointing.

Did not fit no matter what we tried. After about an hour it was flapping madly. Even tried using magnets to secure the edges, did not help. In to the trash.

Does not move in wind with jeep towed behind motorhome. Thick. Durable under normal use. I caught a corner in hood hinge unnecessarily trying to use hood to hold it down first install. Small tear. My fault. Tear is not running. Black duct tape works well on it. 2 straps buckle inside jeep. Straps are long and sturdy, but buckles are cheap and easy to break. Replaced with camping style buckles easily. Takes 5 min to put on and adjust. Good buy.

Installing was easy, we had no issues. Yes the material is on the thin side, but after a 3600 mile trip not one ding! Happy dance! We bought two just in case we wanted to double up for protection. No need, so now we have a back up. Score!

We're towing an old Jeep Cherokee off the back of a 36 foot Class A and sometimes we drive on gravel roads or pull over on gravel shoulders. After a long trip from Alberta to the Northwest Territories we noticed gravel on the hood and that the windshield was starting to get pitted, even though we've got both tire mud flaps and drag a heavy duty rubber flap across the rear of the RV.As we do not really care about the paint job on the jeep and were able to protect the headlights with wire mesh, this was a great, cost effective solution to protect the glass. It's fairly easy to install once you figure out how much of the cover to fold under on the top (so it does not flap needlessly) and you make an easy modification to the bungee cords provided.Go to a large home store and buy 2 fairly large 'S' hooks for the bungee and a length of foam pipe insulation for your windshield wipers.Use a vice or a large pair of pliers to bend one side of each 'S' hook into a loop. Line up the cover on the car, put one end of one bungee through the top grommet on the passenger's side, tie a simple knot at the end of the cord so the it will not pull back through the grommet and close the passenger's side door. Go to the driver's side, put the open end of the 'S' hook through the top grommet, pull the bungee through the newly looped end of the 'S' hook so that the bungee is slightly stretched and then tie a simple knot in the bungee so it will not pull back out of the 'S' hook. Repeat the process for the bottom grommets.Cut the insulation a couple of inches longer than your windshield wipers. Slide them on before installing the cover so the blades are protected (I got this hint from another post here on Amazon). We've been using this on a trip where we've had to install and remove the cover a couple of dozen times and are quite pleased with the results. Only 4 stars instead of 5 because the material around one of the grommets is beginning to tear and we'll probably have to replace the cover once per year.

Product was a bit dissapointing. I bought two covers for two different vehicles and had to seriously modify both covers. The brass grometts in both cases had to be relocated as they sat against the painted surface of the A pillar and then got squashed there when the door closed thus chipping the paint. Also the bungee cords supplied had a Mickey Mouse fastening procedure. I should have bought a couple of yards or flannel backed vinyl and made my own.

We have a 2022 Jeep Wrangler , that we tow behind our motor home. The cover is large enough to have plenty of over hang to keep it secure when the doors are closed. Yes the straps are way to long, but easy enough to tweak so they are secure. Nice soft, slightly padded vinyl fabric. No scratching of the paint. Would Definitely purchase again, if I had to.

This product does not work as advertised. It is very generic and impossible to attach to windshield of tow vehicle. We used to have a windshield protector for a previous jeep we owned and it was excellent. You'd be better off having one custom ordered to the specs of your vehicle. We're disappointed that Camco hasn't come out with something more useful!

I do realize that this item is for a car. However, I needed protection for my glass windshield while in tow, on my Kubota 850 side by side. With a little bungee, and a little imagination it worked out fine.

This Camco windshield protector sure beats making my own. If anyone is interested, give them a call and I'm sure you will be pleased.

Like the material but the edges pulled apart
