I did a lot of research of different ways to keep your plates and bowls from rattling around and moving while towing our travel trailer. It came down to the holders that place the plates vertically, standing up, and these. A few things swayed me to this purchase. First, the standing style would mean I need well over 11 inches to get the plates in and out since dinner plates are that size, then add the holder and the clearance needed to slide them out. As you can see in the pictures that would be making for a very tight squeeze in our cupboards and I definitely did not want to take up space in the tiny pantry with plates. Secondly, the bowls. You see a lot of "tall" plate holders, but not really the same concept for bowls. If I somehow found a vertical bowl holder image the space it would need to take side to side to hold even 6 bowls. Where space is a premium and every inch counts I had to think, take up 7.5 inches and being able to stack them tall versus taking 12 inches or more side to side for the same amount of bowls and then not being able to use the dead space above the awkward bowls. Lastly, I didn't like the idea of making the plates standing where they could be top heavy and have a greater chance of falling over. It became an easy choice to grab these. Note that we use corelleware. Just food for thought, but the plastic Melamine is NOT microwave safe. Sure, a little litter than the corelle, but at the cost of caustic cancer causing plastic in my belly or not being able to use the microwave, no thanks. We don't add any layers of paper towel or liner material between the plates and bowls and they travel EXCELLENT in these travel trays. What I like: they come with the sticky shelf liner attached to the center of the bottom. Even if you don't line your cupboards these are ready to do the job of staying in place. We did add liner so the extra grip makes them ultra secure. They are not budging. I like the depth of the plate holder a lot. Notice how many plates we have stacked and still have room for a larger serving dish. All of it secure and have NEVER moved or been displaced in all our travels. We've had ourselves some bumpy rides on back country roads, plenty of railroad crossings and the occasional "where did that dip come from". I like the rigid quality of the plastic. These are built to last in an era of let's make things cheaply so people need to rebuy them. What I wish was tweaked for better use: the bowl holder is on the short side when you consider how bowls are naturally taller. Our bowls peak over the top of the holder and we weren't sure how that would go. Nothing has moved, but I would not feel good about adding more bowls to the holder. One other notable thing I wish Camco would consider: let us purchase them separately. I needed 1 plate holder, 1 bowl holder and 1 of the same size as the bowls for the smaller plates. I had to buy 2 sets to get the set up I wanted and now I have an extra plate holder I'll never use and paid premium. That didn't make me very happy. Table space is just as valuable as cupboard space and those smaller plates do come in handy for the odd passable items that don't need 11 inches.Overall, very happy with the make and quality of these holders and glad we went this direction versus using the vertical type.

The large one works for corelle dinner plates, smaller size does not work for corelle sandwich plates, but will loosly hold corelle bowls. The holders do not slide around which is good for the camper. Also have some plastic plates and they will not fit.

Love the large plate holder, but the smaller one was too small for my salad plates. Works great with my bowls upside down though. Hopefully they will keep them nice and safe while traveling.

I am assuming that this would be excellent for stoneware or REALLY BIG plates, but I purchased for Corelle dinnerware in the fifth wheel, and absolutely WAY TOO BIG.The quality of materials is great though, would definitely reorder if they come out with a smaller size.

I got this for our rv to keep the dishes in one place. They are sturdy and flexible and work perfectly to keep my dishes in one place.

I purchased my first Stack-A-Plate set for our dinner and bread plates and they fit our Corelle dinnerware perfectly. But that still left our bowls without protection so I ordered another set - mostly to get the small size. Four bowls fit comfortably in the small stack . All three stacks fit into one side of our cupboard perfectly. This left me with a large one so I used that one to prevent my nesting SS mixing bowls from sliding around - perfect. I was then looking for a counter stand for our mugs but having to store that separately from my mugs while travelling wasn't appealing from a limited space perspective (not to mention keeping the mugs from sliding around). I wondered if the mugs would fit into one of the stackers (we only have four) and there was my solution. It sits on the counter with the mugs in it (actually doesn't look bad at all) and just pops into the cupboard as-is when on the move. Doesn't move and the mugs are secure. As for the extra small stacker, I used it to hold my Chemex coffee brewer during travel and it worked perfectly to keep it safe and sound. As another reviewer noted, it would be nice to be able to buy the size you need but these are actually quite versatile - not just for plates!

Not as good as i thought. The top layer isnt on a stand it just sits on top. Which then means u need to remove it and contents to access lower plates. Not what i was looking for, I want something that is easy to handle and easy access this was not.

These plate holders are nice but I found them to be a little small for regular size plates. I should have measured first. My dinner plates barely fit and my small plates don't fit at all. Would be great otherwise at stopping your plates from moving around during travel.
