I had tried several different brands/types of lightweight, water resistant, insulated jackets and didn't like any of them. This jacket fit the bill for what I was looking for. Lightweight, comfortable, windproof, and waterproof. I walk 2-3 miles daily, irrespective of the weather. I live the Pacific Northwest and wore this every day while walking during our long, wet, cold La Niña winter. It has never leaked, even in heavy rain. My only "complaint" is the hood is a bit large and interferes with my glasses when tightly closed. I rarely give products 5 stars; this one is an exception.

Definitely a great product. Shipped fast, packaged nicely. I was looking for a coat similar to Carhartt’s Crowley coat. Cause it is a well built coat but the price is steep. Although not exactly the same shell still very close. I enjoy the sizing on this coat over the Crowley coat. I’m 6 foot tall, long arms, long torso and this coat doesn’t climb up my arm when I stretch out. Or show my money maker when I bend over. The hood also lies well it isn’t all over the place like some coats hoods when unzipped. It feels a little thinner than I’d hoped but I’m optimistic just from how well it’s made that it will keep a person plenty warm who is working in 10 15degree weather

This jacket has protected me and others against uncomfortable weather. I like all the pockets, its rain resistance, and good protection from wind.It would be nice to have a hood but very good jacket overall.Only one person has ever noticed the black on black Camel logo on the front.

I generally don't write reviews but this jacket deserves one. I can't believe how good this jacket is for the $$. I live in the Pacific NW and like to have one main go-to coat for most uses, to keep me warm and dry. Not many companies make a softshell, fleece lined, comfortable, waterproof coat with a hood (seems like they were easier to find several years ago). I don't think there's anything that's truly waterproof, but this one keeps me drier than most. It has interior pockets, which many of the other brands don't have. It fits me better than other coats I've had (e.g., from OR, Arc'teryx). It's been great for hiking, biking, walking, kayaking, camping, etc. both in the mountains and on the coast. It does run quite large - I initially ordered a Medium (which I always wear) but returned it for a Small - and the Small is even a bit big on me. But that actually works out well for layering. The hood isn't the best fit, but it's better than most. I don't like the way most hoods fit, but I only buy jackets with hoods nowadays because of how much it rains here. I like it more than any $200 jacket I've owned. I'll probably buy a second one to have on hand when the first one wears out.

My husband likes this jacket. It is warmer than just a windbreaker and not at all heavy or stiff. Good pockets, Large inside pockets. Hood has good fit and stretch straps to tighten it well. Great buy for the money.

The jacket is very comfortable, it’s lightweight I love that it’s water resistant which makes it a great snow or rain jacket. His functions really good it’s true to size the length size is great it with great abs exactly like picture

Very nice jacket. I hate wearing big winter coats. This jacket keeps me very warm and comfortable. Best jacket/coat I've had in a long time.

I wanted a cheap jacket that I could wear in cold weather for shorter periods of time. I have a puffy jacket but it doesn't have a hood and is just a little too "big" so I bought this and it solves all my issues. It is pretty warm and mostly waterproof.

This is a really nice coat — my husband loved it! We order it in blue and it really is beautiful and really well-made. The only problem is that it runs small. He always takes a size large (5’10 and 170 pounds), but this coat was too tight for him across the back so we have to send it back, which is especially annoying because it is not free shipping, so essentially we’re out the shipping cost. If you order this coat, I would recommend ordering it in a size larger than what you need.
