  • No, you cannot. The optical interface does not allow you to adjust the volume with the TV remote control. But can adiust TV volume on TV system Settings . But can adiust TV volume on TV system Settings .

  • Input device:HDTV, TV BOX, or game console. You need to set them to PCM audio before, and then connect to converter optical interface input.

    Universal PCM Set: Device homepage -system setting - image andsound _voice setting -digital audio output→PCM

  • 1)PCM format: Settings → Sound → Expert Settings → Audio Format → PCM

My dad needed his wireless analog headphones to work with both cable box and smart TV apps. Before this it was one or the other but with the optical hook-up it all works. This works great and easy to set up.

My new Samsung TV does not have any of the good old RCA connectors, so I was in a quandary about to output the sound from the TV to my old Nakamichi analog receiver. I had the Nakamichi restored several years ago and it has worked like a charm with my old plasma TV through RCA connectors. I'm not real knowledgeable about AV, so I had to pour through the online Samsung manual to figure out that I needed to use the optical connection jack to output the sound. But the Nakamichi was manufactured before optical connections were standard on home electronics. I hoped that this DAC converter would do the trick. And it did. The included optical cable plugged right into the Samsung and the RCA jacks from the Nakamichi plugged right into the Camway converter. I did have to supply a wall wart for power, although a power cable was provided. I configured the TV to output to optical, and voila! Glorious analog sound. As an aside, I was also able to get the Samsung remote to control the volume of the Nakamichi receiver.

今回こちらを購入したきっかけは、音楽制作をする過程で使用するオーディオインターフェース(RME BabyFace)のアナログ出力を増設するためでした。具体的にはライブを行う時に使用している機材ですが、トラックをまとめてステレオで出力することが多かったのですが、今回はBASSとVOを別で出力して、PAさんに現場で混ぜてもらうことでした。そのためSPDIF出力を持つBaby Faceからアナログ出力を作るのに変換器を探したところ、安価で評判も良く一か八かでこれを購入したのです。結果は問題なくスムーズに接続と出力が実現、そして肝心の音はというと気になる部分が全くなく予定していたライブに使用できました。音の感想としてはフラットな印象でスムース。とても良い買い物となりました。
