I am new to candle making, but this pot is the perfect size for the small projects I am working on currently.I appreciate the size and the way it shows the temperature digitally on the front of the pot. I found it easy to pour as long as I was careful. I didn’t have any issues with the temperature being too hot. I cleaned it right away. I am thinking you don’t want to let it sit because, like any pot you might cook with, the longer the contents sit, the harder it will be to clean. Also, I would suggest never using a scrubber on it. I like the lovely size for small samples but… as many wax melters - hearing is super slow and inaccurate. Says its at 205 but barely made it to 140F in 20minutes.

Over the past 50 years that I've been camping, I make these things we called "Buddy Burners" in Girl Scouts. It's an empty tuna can that we insert rolled up corrugated cardboard and then pour melted paraffin over it. You can use them under your weird to start a campfire. You can also use it AS your cooking fire to heat a can of soup or make coffee.Anyway, I used to only make those every couple years because I hated messing up my cook pans when I inevitably spilled melted paraffin in them.This wax melting pot is AMAZING TO HAVE. It melts my paraffin easily and without a mess when pouring into my tuna tins because the melting pot has a really good pour spout.I still go camping, and I am still very frugal and make these buddy burners. Now with this melting pot, that project is so much easier.

We own a few wax melters. We like this one as it does not require us to remove an inner pot to pour the wax which requires gloves and can be messy. We can pour straight from the pot without needing to handle any hot surfaces. Our other wax melters do not have the higher capacity that this melter affords. It allows us to pour more candles per melt which makes the process much faster than needing to melt multiple smaller batches.

This pot works great and is a nice size. Very easy to use, well-made and durable. We made candles and next week we are doing soap. Great for beginners and makes a great gift.

I've been wanting one of these for years. I make my own candles, beauty products, etc. This made my life so much easier tonight. I didn't have a ton of clean up. One quick wipe with a paper towel and it cleaned right up. Heats up evenly. I'm very happy I got this. It will save me a lot of time and money.
