The magnet keeps the metal base of the candle wick in place so that you can stamp it down with ease. Simply feed the wick through the hole, let the magnet do its thing, and press the sticker side into the jar. We hope this tool works for you as well as it’s working for us!

What a cool tool! When the kids were little, we made LOTS of candles for the kids to give people. I never saw a tool like this. We always had to just set the wick in the bottom of whatever container we were using and try and balance it so the wick stayed centered. Sometimes we were more successful than others. 😊Please watch the 10-second on-line video for instructions on how to use this. One end of the tube-tool is lightly magnetized. Put the wick up through this end so the magnets on the bottom of the tool hold the metal on the bottom end of the wick secure. Attach a double-sided wick sticker to the bottom of the metal on the wick and remove the paper so the sticky side is accessible. Use the wick tool to center the wick in the bottom of your container and press so the sticker keeps the wick attached to the bottom of your vessel when you move the tool away. If needed, turn the tool to detach the wick from the magnets.I tried to take some pictures of the magnets at work. They are appropriately not real strong. I could feel a slight pull when I moved the tool away. It would be nice if this tool came in a two pack of different lengths. I did not count down for this because I knew what it was when I ordered it. It is just a suggestion.

The tool is not complicated, but it is super useful. It is a hollow plastic cylinder with a magnet on one end. What is the big deal? Well, if you have ever had to try to place a wick in the center bottom of an open mold or candle holder that is more than two inches deep, you know that it can be frustrating. This tool would be useful for any open candle container or mold that is up to five or six inches deep - maybe even seven or eight inches if the vessel is wide enough. It would be most useful with a wick sticker (especially for short wicks), a metal wick tab, and of course, your wick. You put the wick through the small hole on the magenetic end and push until the wick tab gets pulled on by the magnet. Then you have complete control while you place your wick in the container. I wish I would have gotten one of these years ago. I would not hesitate to purchase in the future for myself or anyone that enjoys candle crafting.

What a great idea! My fingers aren’t always long enough to reach into the candle jars to make sure the wick sticker is stuck well. This tool allows me to more carefully center my wick and apply more even pressure on the sticker to make sure it adheres well. The magnet is sufficient to hold the wick until I can place it in the bottom of the jar. My only wish is that it was longer.

I always struggled with bending my wick when I was trying to place it in smaller containers, and at one point I just used a straw. But I got this tool and it works so much better and I don't have to weirdly hold the end of the wick when I am lowing it in because the magnet holds the wick up in the tube. Works great, and my hands thank me for getting it.

I always wanted one of these made just for candle makers. I’ve been making candles now for 3 years and have been using my homemade empty pen to center my wicks. This device is great. Just place your wick in and the magnet inside keeps it from falling down which I appreciate. Easy to eyeball and center the wick. The material of the tool is a very hard plastic. Feels sturdy and quality made. Good size to wick any size candle jar. If it gets dirty you can easily clean this. Very happy this is available on Amazon. This tool is very helpful and makes wicking more accurate before placing down with tab. Great value.

Clever device that any and every candle maker should have in their candle making tool box. The genius device solves the problem of getting the wick to stay in the center at the bottom of the jar. It’s super simple and won’t take up hardly any space. Well made so really you should only have to buy one in a lifetime. Super great price as well.
