These are very pretty and help to trim wicks on taller candles when they get low. The trimmers don’t seem to be very sharp, but maybe they’re not supposed to be.

Until I bought this gadget, I had to reach into some rather tight spaces to break the burnt parts of the wicks off, which made a mess of my fingers (IF I managed to get my hands out of those tight spots). I got one for my neighbor, too; she didn't even know they existed, and was very happy to get one.
