How to use the scissors to trim candle wick
+ Be sure to cut the wick with your scissors before lighting or after your candle has cooled to room temperature, only if necessary.
+ Never cut the wick of a burning candle.
+ If your candle, once lit, produces too large a flame or darkens the glass, the wick is too long. Extinguish the candle. Cut the wick between 3mm and 8mm from the surface of the wax if necessary, taking into account the size of your candle.
+ Be careful not to cut too short, otherwise the wick will have a hard time melting the entire surface of the candle. Make sure that it never exceeds 1 cm; the ideal length being about 5 mm.
+ For safety, remove pieces of matches, wicks, or any other element that has fallen into the candle pot.

No more fussing to get the blades in the right place to snip the wick! Well made, attractive and easy to use. Great value for the money. I especially like the flat blade surface that catches the cut wick so it can be discarded, rather than falling into the wax - excellent design.

Works as intended but I think could be improved and used in more situations if the shears were angled more sharply compared to the handle (making it more vertical / longer in height, where it currently is about 30 degrees from horizontal). I also wish the blades were a little sharper - has always felt a bit dull.

Good quality and cuts the wick without any mess! I find cutting the wick before lighting them keeps my candles burning longer and ash-free.

I really wish they made a satisfying click when I trim the wick like my regular scissors did but these work way better. They're angled so it's easier to reach down into well burnt candles and the little "plate" for catching the wick so they don't fall down into the candle. Love that they come in rose gold. The only thing was that they came with like melted wax or condensation or something on them. which I don't know what it could've come from, but it wasn't too big of a deal.

I was expecting the cutters to be more of a 90 degree angle to the handles. Still difficult to cut the wick when’s it’s very low.
