This kit had everything I needed to get started with canning and not so much stuff that I was overwhelmed with not knowing what to do with it. Everything cleaned up really easily as well.

This is a nice set and has some very nice features, seemingly everything one would need to can their favorite fruits and sauces and keep everything sanitary. One of the things I like best is that the tongs have a large opening so you can fit all your fingers through instead of just the thumb and index finger. It also includes a very nice jar lifter, a jar wrench, a wide-mouth funnel, a little magnetic wand for lifting the lid, and a plastic tool you can use to pop any bubbles.The set comes in a box, but it wasn't packed very well. It came in a large envelope that lacked any padding, and the box broke through the envelope and made a large hole, plenty big enough for the box to escape from. The Amazon delivery driver managed to deliver it okay, but the shipper should use a reinforced envelope so as to ensure that peoples' order doesn't go missing if it becomes separated from the shipping envelope. The set is made in China.

I’ve been making do with what I’ve used for years. Broken tongs for my jars and a plastic knife for de bubbling and this makes things so much easier. I’ve been old school knowing where my head space measurements were was well and I love being able to double check myself.

This is a good basic tool set for home canning. It’s a good beginner set, with everything you need to get started.

I’m new at canning and this kit has everything I needed, all in one. Everything you need is in this kit! Durable. Washes well in the dishwasher. I like how the red matches my kitchen decor also.
