This is a great heavy duty "desk" calculator. It is meant to be used. I replaced a similar model that I had for over 10 years with this model and am not disappointed. It is a bit larger than the one it replaced but I did not find that to be a problem. Great features and would recommend it for daily office use.

I replace all of these every 10 years. Well built and lasts. Can't ask for much. It does more then what I need for running a co.

I have always liked Canon 10-keys in workplaces. They are built like tanks and take all the abuse from coworkers who couldn't care less. I wanted to get a top-of-the-line model for my home office so I went with this one. It's nice to have the averaging and time calculation functions.Two things that bother me: first is the seven-minute power-saving sleep mode. It is a recent addition to their calculators and the one at my job has it too. It can't be disabled and is a little distracting to hit the C/CE key to revive it. Maybe it's a good thing because coworkers tend to leave things on. Second: now that I have one at home, I discovered a basic design flaw: even when the power is off, I can see the filaments dimly glowing in the fluorescent readout. If it wasn't for the backup battery I'd be tempted to use a power cutoff switch like the old days when I had an "instant-on TV" that would keep all the tubes' filaments running at half-power and shortening their lives.Aside from those design flaws, nothing beats a Canon 10-key as far as I'm concerned.

I work with #'s for a living and this Canon model is perfect. I am very picky with the comfort ability of an adding machine. The display is large & brightly lit. The keys are spaced apart very well - so if you are typing in a frenzy, or you have long fingernails - you won't tap 2 buttons at the same time. Love it!

Really like my Canon MP 49DII calculator. I bought an open box at a great price. Would never know if was an open box. Extremely fast printing. It has an auto shut off if not used for a few minutes and that has taken a little time to get used to. I would prefer to not have that feature but guess I will get used to it.

The screen is quite large and very easy to read. The slant of the screen has no reflection from my office light and so I find it perfect. This is a heavy duty calculator which is great for accountants.

Disappointed in very small adding machine paper roll that was provided. Had a Canon for many years and thus why purchased again when the old one wore out. Ribbon is better than the old ink roller. Digital read is good but 8 and 0 are similar and you have to watch you have it right. Keys are large but the feel is not as nice as the old machine. Unit is large.. very large and takes lots of space when you allow for the printer roll. Quality appears good but not as good overall as the previous similar Canon unit I had.
