I am learning to abstract paint with acrylic paints and need lots of space to practice on. Great paper! Held up remarkably well to being wet and then scraped with a catalyst tool. I was taken aback because it didn’t rip tear nothing it was still in great shape and I continued painting. I am not in a studio yet so I staple large pieces to the fence in the Mabel to use large speaking motions and step back and see things and not have to go all the way to the edge like I do with the canvas.

I love this Canson Heavyweight Mixed Media Paper on a roll. The paper is excellent for acrylics, texture paste, lots of water, sprays, and just about anything I could throw at it. I love the paper on a roll so I can make accordion style sketchbooks and art journals without a seem connecting papers.

Love this paper, and now I can easily cut to any size and use watercolor, pencils or acrylic. I wish it also took oil paint! I think all I would have to do is add some ground or gesso and it would work. It's affordable and versatile. I can mount it on a foam board or a piece of cardboard or even wood, love the variety. I love the sketchbook products but the quality of this paper does not feel the same, it seems flimsier, but maybe its just because of the large size.

I am using this paper for 4th graders to do doodle murals with Sharpies. It is great. I have used it only for the last 2 years. I highly recommend this paper!

Thank you too everybody who wrote a review about this paper. Before I purchased it I read many of the reviews.If you're going to apply anything wet or water-based media to this paper in a large scale or possibly even small scale I would definitely think twice. I'm going to try to upload some pictures that show extreme warping of the paper. Would that being said, if the paper is also quite resilient and does not pill a pulp. This was pretty surprising given the amount of warping displayed in my pictures. I do not think that the warping I've experienced is recoverable to any degree and I've even tried steaming out the warping to try to get the paper to be flat again. I do not think that a warped piece of artwork can be sold unfortunately. This was a great experiment for the price of the paper in my opinion and also a great deal on paper at this pound.In my opinion I don't think it's worth the risk or time investment as a professional artist.

I use this paper to make my own art journals. It's the best mixed-media paper out there. It's smooth. It has great tooth. I use liquid adhesive and acrylic paint, spray dyes with stencils, and even watercolour paints. The paper accepts all media without tearing or pilling.

I use this paper anyway -- usually in the 11x14 size because that's in budget. This roll is the exact same quality paper, nice and thick and great for my wetter projects as well as dry. It holds up to my eraser - a serious feat. The difference with the roll? I got a helluva lot more for my money! AND i have the freedom now to cut my pages per-project in whatever size i feel good about.A tremendous deal and a product unrivaled if you're hell on paper !!!!

Me gusta este papel, lo uso siempre, pero siempre he comprado en block, ahora encontré el rollo y me encanto, porque puedo cortarlo a la medida que quiero. Me gustarÃa que hubiera otro gramaje, por ejemplo 240 g, un poco más grueso, para poder pintar tamaños mucho más grandes. En general muy satisfecho.
