It was my first time ordering and using newsprint, and it is very sturdy and holds up well. Although the pad is hard to manage as a whole, if you break it up into sheets of 5-10, you can pin them to an easel fairly easily. The thickness of the paper is adequate for most mediums, and the quality of the paper appears to be fairly high. Really easy to work with, especially with charcoal. I did most of my initial art classes with this newsprint pad, and it lasted me quite some time! I still have a few pages left, even after months and months of consistent use.I would certainly purchase this again, if I needed more newsprint for my practice and pieces. It's a great, cheaper alternative to canvas, for projects that may not be professional in nature. You can also use this for permanent pieces, but you definitely need to spray some finishing solution to make it keep in most cases. It does bend and wrinkle easy, so if you are looking to keep something orderly you might want to store it in a frame or on an easel or art board. I store my work, while in progress, on an art board, and if I am looking to keep it long term, I will spray finishing solution and then lay it out in a frame. It keeps up well over time, with only slight discoloration, which can be expected with this type of material.

This paper was great. I had to order it for a drawing class because none of the stores carried paper in this size. The paper is great and works really well. My only complaint it that the tape along the top started to come off after a while. It's not a big deal for just using the paper, but I would recommend against carrying the pad itself or it might fall apart.

It's THICC. I didn't expect it to be so heavy with 100 pages. But it's fantastic and is currently serving me well in art class. I do have to rip a few pages instead of taking the whole pad to school bcus my drawing board clips don't support the weight of it when propped on an easel.

Newsprint is newsprint. Artists use it all the time and I really needed large sheets for my projects. Here's the rub. The pad of newsprint arrived wrinkled and bunched up. I was expecting it to be FLAT but it was shipped in a box without packing material and had plenty of room to get disheveled. I had to put it under a piece of plywood to flatten it out. It is best to store it flat, and since I don't have a large paper flat file, it occupies one of my tables. Oh well. I needed it. Still do.
