Great accumulator, get the largest you have room for as it actually only dispenses about 2/3 to 3/4 of the oil each time. This is not a reduction in its function rather just a factor of the way it operates via compression/pressure etc.Works great!

OK, so you have to buy 1/2" pipe to -10AN adapter fittings for the ball valve or solenoid valve that attaches to the end of the accusump accumulator. I have an oil cooler and external oil filter in series in the line as well, all of which take the same adapter so its no big deal, other than its a plumbing nightmare, but hey that's my problem.!!!! The Accusump itself works as advertised and does a great job of pre-oiling the engine before I start it. I would like to say that, in this case, more is better, but there just wasn't room for the 3 quart version where I had to stuff it in.

Mine arrived broken ( can't hold air pressure ). I tried contacting the manufacturer for warranty but got ignored for months.

This oil accumulator is an excellent product. If you are concerned with oil starvation, this is an excellent solution.The issue I take with the accusump, is its suggestion that you need expensive steel-braided hoses with 10AN fittings on the end. It would be one thing if the accumulator came with 10AN fittings, but it comes with 1/2NPT fittings. In-fact, all of their accessories are 1/2NPT except for the Tee fitting. Instead of suggesting 10AN for all parts which leads to several 1/2NPT to 10AN adapters (all of which are further points of failure), they could suggest all 1/2NPT tubes and fittings to reduce the cost, the size of the actual installation, and the number of components in the system.I installed this with all 1/2NPT fittings and it works perfectly!

Accumulator installed on a 2009 Maserati QP S Preoils the Variators and DOHC valve train just before startup.Depressurizes in ~1 second to 20 psi at ignition On then repressurizes to 55 psi after engine start.It is extremely well made.Operating now for 6 months with no issues.
