Bumper plates are what you need if you don't want iron plates to tear up your floor or make a bunch of noise. These CAP plates are tad thicker than their iron counterparts. They are well constructed with real rubber, and their weight is an accurate 45 lbs. Because of their thickness, they take some getting used to initially in order to grip and handle. The price was right for these guys, and I'm pleased with the purchase.

Let me just start by saying if you aren’t looking to break the bank, these are some of the best budget weights you can buy. They are incredibly durable, with a great accurate weight quality (I weighed them myself). They fit great on my smith machine and my 2inch w barbell. I bought them in numerous weights and I honestly could not be more impressed. They even have a nice finish and the colors and letters add a nice touch and I don’t think they will come off easily. Overall very great purchase for my home gym. Highly recommend!!

At the end of the day, I’m getting reps in bc of these affordable barbell plates. YES it reeks of cigarette smoke when it arrives. The packaging tape is yellow likely from all the smokers in the shop. Annoying - yes. Would I return it over this - no. I ordered three separate orders or weights, and every time is was stinky and oily. Does it hinder my workout? Noooo. Again, it’s annoying, but they look good and I’m so glad I didn’t purchase used plates on those secondhand apps for the double the cost.I’ve had them 1-2 months and the smell lingers. I haven’t put a ton of effort into cleaning them as they stay in the garage and the odor is not strong enough to damage or stain anything else. Best bang for your buck.

The CAP Barbell Rubber Olympic Bumper Plate is fantastic! These plates are built to last—solid, durable, and designed to withstand heavy use. Overall these are really good weight plates for the price and we bought two sets of each weight. The price for rubber weights is really good. There are however, 2 issues that you should be aware of when buying these, and neither are deal breakers.First: if you are buying the 25 or 35lb weights, just be aware that there are no holes in these weights that allow you to grab and carry these one handed, which is a bit annoying because you have a very small lip that you can grab onto, but if you're tired from lifting, it is possible/probable that you could drop these, so just be aware. Not an issue for us because we are really just lifting from a holder peg to our smith machine a foot away, but it is a bit annoying.Second: When you first get these, they are COVERED in oil and that has to be washed off. First, because it smells and second, they are very slippery which exacerbates the issue I outlined above with very little grip space. So when you receive these, take them directly to the kitchen, run hot water and apply a LOT of Dawn dishwashing soap to a scrubbing pad and go to town to remove all the oil that is coating these plates. I think they are packed with an oil on them so that they fare better while stored in a warehouse, but you don't want that in your gym. Also they are filthy when they arrive, so cleaning them really well just makes sense.So if those aren't deal breakers for you then I can highly recommend.

For the money these are probably the best quality weight plates you can get that are a fraction of the price of traditional/metal weight plates. I got 2 45 lb. plates for less than what I would pay for 1 plate of the traditional style at the local sporting goods/fitness store.These come well packed in sturdy boxes, and are wrapped in plastic. There is a bit of shipping grease on them and they do have a little bit of a plastic smell to them. The smell will go away in a few months and just have some wipes on hand when they arrive so you can wipe/clean them off. They look great, have a good feel to them, and work with the 2.5 inch barbells. These were a huge addition to my home gym since I was moving up to heavier weights on squats and deadlifts and needed to buy more plates behind my first 300 lb. Olympic Set. Other plates were cost prohibitive and I was initially skeptical about these given how "cheap" they were/are, but they are high quality and good plates. These have also been great for deadlifts since they are a bit easier on my floor padding than the metal weights.The only drawback is that there isn't a good handle or spot to grip the plate when you take it off the rack, so with the heavier plates you'll have to use 2 hands to pick them up and rack them. Will certainly buy a few more of these when I need to expand my weight set.

Bought 2 of these and they arrived in excellent condition. They are very thick and solid with good bounce. Both plates weighed approximately 45.4 pounds so the weight was as accurate as you are going to get for the price. Very solid purchase especially for the price that I paid. Less than 1 dollar per pound as they were on sale for 35 dollars for a single 45 pound plate. You wont find a better deal than that! If you're interested in buying some affordable bumper plates then these are the ones to get.

Yup they are covered in oil, but it cleans off easily with spray cleaner or soap and water !Yup they have a strong plastic smell comparable to the smell of inside a Canadian Tire store, but the smell leaves within a couple weeks !These plates are decent quality at a fantastic price not matched anywhere else on the internet with FREE delivery.
