Salvatore Capezio was born in 1871 in Muro Lucano, Italy. Uninterested in following in his father's footsteps as a construction engineer, he became an artist of his own right, a cobbler. In 1887, at the age of 17, he opened his shop on Broadway and 39th Street, diagonally across from the old Metropolitan Opera House in New York City. Soon, the shop became a meeting place for dancers who would stop by to discuss their needs and to get a pair of his shoes. when i first got them they fit very tight on wide feet and i had marks once i took them off, also a bit uncomfortable. you definitely have to break these shoes in, but when they have been used for like a week they are awesome. great durability. they help me turn wayy better than my last ones. i recommend you size up just one size. they look good and don’t smell.

Size is accurate. Dances 3 x a wee k and still usable after 10 months. Quality is good and has held up. Ballet shoes always take a hit but these have held up . Will be rebuying soon.Color fits in dress code and thickness gives protection while still allowing for ability to feel the floor. Washed once by mistake in wager and they survived but don’t believe it’s recommended.

These were purchased for my daughter for December class at school. The construction of the shoes looks great and feel the would be really good, but mi d the size. I think they run small. Had to get another pair becuase they were worn. Would recommend but becareful of the size.

We purchase these a few times. Daughter uses these for 5 dance classes and they hold up perfect. She’s very hard on dance shoes. She loves the quality and the fit. Please don’t ever discontinue theses she will be devastated.

Very very tight at first but I’m assuming I’ll have to break them in. I also wish they had different shades as these are very dark on me because my legs are very pale

Loveee these turners so much! I usually fall out of my turns in seconds and can only do 3 on a good day but recently I’ve been doing like 6 consistently! Like my turns gotten so much better that I was used as a demonstration for my class! Also the elastic bands are really stretchy and durable. They don’t slip at all when I try to do toe rises! I would say this is the best turned I used to far and it’s good quality for the price.

Purchased "gently used" they were honestly brand new ! For 5$ that was a deal! My daughter was very happy..they do fit small so she might outgrow them fast but for 5$ that's Ok!

I'm a street size US 6.5 and bought a size small, which fits a tad too tight, where the elastic around my foot 'bites' only after a short wear.My foot does run a bit wider than average though.
