Replace your worn out o-ring gasket seat on your Vittles Vault Pet Food Container with a brand new upgraded/updated o-ring seal. The new updated o-ring seal is slightly thicker and molded from solid-core rubber instead of the original hollow o-ring. The o-ring is continuously molded throughout, and does not have a glued seam (a common failure point on the original o-ring). The new black color allows the o-ring to be clearly visible in the groove. These updated features amount to a tough, long-lasting o-ring that won’t overstretch and wear out like the original. Best of all, it requires no tools and about 15 seconds to replace your old o-ring. Restore your Vittles Vault to new with an upgraded o-ring and keep your pet food fresher for longer!

Two o-ring sizes are available for the two lid sizes found on different Vittles Vault containers:

  • The 2.0 lid (lid diameter just under 10”) is featured on the following models: 4308, 4315, 4328, 4338, 4340, 4409, 4412. See photos for more info on size, or measure your lid to confirm. This o-ring measures about 8-3/4” across to fit the 2.0 10” lid.
  • The 5.0 Lid (lid diameter just under 12”) is featured on the following models: 4310, 4325, 4330, 4350, 4380, 4360, 4552. See photos for more info on size, or measure your lid to confirm. This o-ring measures about 10-3/4” across to fit the 5.0 12” lid.

Not sure which model you have? Take off your lid and measure the width. If the lid is slightly less than 10" across with an 8-3/4" diameter o-ring, then you have the 2.0 lid. If it's slightly less than 12" across with a 10-3/4" diameter o-ring, then you have the 5.0 lid.

Great solution. My kids were doing who knows what to have the stock electric seals knocked off the kids. I until now have been able to find them, but alas, they managed to completely lose one. These are more substantial and tighter. It’s what should have come on these to begin with.

I have a number of Gamma Seal buckets. I use them to store dog food, bird seed, smoker pellets, and ice melt for the driveway. Anything that needs to be dry and portable is perfect for storing in a Gamma Seal bucket. The weak point though has always been the actual seals. The gaskets stretch, crack, and break given a little time and don't seal up well, which is sub-optimal. These gaskets seem to be made of better quality rubber and actually stretch to fit, which is a plus in my mind. Happy to find them to replace OEM seals that broke.

The ring is too hard, unlike the Gamma2 original o-ring which was softer and allowed for the lid to actually close. This ring does not allow for the lid to seal AT ALL. Woke up this morning to an ant invasion in my dog's food. Ruined about $80 worth of product and NO FOOD FOR MY DOG! Very upset that this not only didn't seal but also ruined their food.
