Water Filter Housing Compatibility
Captain O-Ring's replacement 68898-32 (also called 68898-31) o-rings are compatible with the following filter housings:
- 3M AP801
- 3M AP801-C
- 3M AP802
- (Does not fit the newer 3M AP801B/T or AP802B/T housings, see below)
- KemFlo 5000 Series
- KemFlo 10,000 Series
- Keystone CG10

Frequently Asked Water Filter O-Ring Questions
How often do I need to change my filter housing's o-ring?
Captain O-Ring's high quality replacement water filter housing o-rings are designed for reliable extended use. Still, it is typically recommended to replace your o-ring on every third filter change to ensure it is in top shape to prevent leaks.
Can I use grease or lubricant on these o-rings?
Since Captain O-Ring supplies high quality o-rings without surface imperfections or tacky/sticky surface texture, lubrication is typically not needed if the filter housing sealing surfaces are clean and free of debris. Simply wet the o-rings with water before installing. However, if lubrication is preferred, these Buna Nitrile rubber o-rings are compatible with silicone based and petroleum based lubricants, as well as natural lubricants like vegetable oil.

Had a drip in my Aqua Pure AP801 & figured the O-ring gave out after years of dutiful service. Needed a replacement fast & wanted something that was reliable. The reviews looked good & this O-ring did the trick. Came in a pack of 3, priced competitively, shipped fast & fit snuggly. When compared to the O-ring, I was replacing, it did show the old one had worn out and stretched. Put food grease on the new ring to ensure less friction & a tight seal. All good. ðŸ‘ðŸ»

Perfect size O-ring for our house water filter. Decided to DIY the filter myself as assuming it can’t be that hard to figure out. Creates a leak-proof seal and works as intended. Perfect size! Order this cause if one is defective you got 2 more ready to use. Also great price!

Seen some 1 star reviews saying these don't fit the AP801 model. Mine arrived today, installed in 10 minutes and it fits just fine, no leaks. Manual says just to wet the O-ring with water before installing, but get some silicone plumber's grease to make your life easier.

This was the cheapest I could find to fit the whole house filter housing. These worked great and were the perfect size. No leaks and is sealing great like the more expensive brands.

I have an older (nearly 30-years old) AP801 water filtration system and ordered these gaskets. Unfortunately, after I had already removed the old filter and was getting ready to install the new gasket, did I notice it was too big in diameter to use. Fortunately, I didn't toss the old gasket, so I cleaned it up really well and used plumber's silicone grease before re-installing. After further research, learned that the correct P/N for the older AP801's is 68898-31, UPC 604015686558.However, these 68898-32's are very well made and I would not hesitate to but them if they were the right ones for my system.

These are excellent O-Rings for the 3M AP801 water filtration system. They replace original equipment and the fit and function is excellent. Price is fantastic, as I was able to buy 3 Captain O-Rings for what I have been paying for 1. Highly recommend. Buy with Danco Silicone Grease for a leak-free installation and operation. Great product.
